Why Do I Get Good Ketones Even With High Blood Sugars While Fasting?
I love your story about Patient D. My story is similar, except I can easily get into a Dr. Boz ratio of 20 in well less than 3 weeks of water fasting and stay there consistently (as long as I continue fasting), even while my blood sugars are mostly still in the 120 - 150 range at that point in fasting. I am definitely a diabetic (not sure if I am Type 1 or Type 2 - never officially diagnosed), but have done many extended fasts (76 days was my longest) to reverse it time and again and to clean out some pretty serious mercury poisoning I experienced. But with one pregnancy after another (10 full pregnancies), my midwives did not want me fasting at all and the weight and blood sugar issues came back, even while eating low carb (I wasn't really getting in the high fat). Then during a surgery, doctors gave me steroids (which were counter-indicated with my history), and my sugars have been horrible since, despite fasting. I can still get into the DBR of 20 and see significant health improvement by fasting, but I joined this course to see if you can help me learn how to achieve this DBR to heal my mitochondria while eating. But just wondering if you can explain to me why I can still get a good DBR even with high blood sugar numbers? Thanks. (Sorry for such a long question, but I figured the extra information might be important to help you explain what might be going on with me.)
