📒 AI Terms Daily Dose: Few-Shot Learning
Term: Few-Shot Learning Day: 13 Level: Fluency Category: Learning & Models 🪄 Simple Definition: Teaching an AI to do a task by showing it just a few examples instead of thousands. 🌟 Expanded Definition: Few-shot learning is a technique where a model learns to perform a task with very limited examples. Instead of needing huge datasets, the model adapts quickly from a handful of inputs, often by leveraging the general knowledge it already gained during pre-training. This is especially useful in areas where data is scarce or expensive to label. ⚡ In Action: A chatbot is given only 5 examples of how to politely decline requests. After seeing those, it can consistently generate polite refusals in many different situations. 💡 AIS+ Pro Tip: Use few-shot learning when you want quick adaptability without the cost of full fine-tuning. Try pairing it with Prompt Engineering by including examples directly in your prompt to steer model behavior. 🔍To find all posted terms, simply search for the phrase “Daily Dose” in the AIS+ community. @Michael Wacht Absolutely the simple version often cuts through the noise. I’ve found the same thing in ecommerce, when I simplified my approach instead of overcomplicating it, that’s when results started showing. Do you find simplicity works best for you in learning AI too, or more in explaining it to others?

@Michael Wacht So true. Breaking complexity into simplicity is a real skill, it’s the same in business. I remember when I was stuck overcomplicating my ecommerce store; the breakthrough came when someone simplified the process for me, and everything clicked. Do you think this ability comes more from deep expertise, or from practice in communicating clearly?

This sounds like an incredible opportunity, especially the hands-on builds and direct mentorship. Are there any specific technical skills or tools you’re looking for in applicants?
Just a quick share from the trenches:
Built an AI workflow this week that eliminated 5+ hours of manual back-and-forth — no code, no fluff. Here’s the core setup: → Typeform → Airtable → OpenAI → Slack → Gmail 🧠 The real breakthrough wasn’t just in the automation — it was realizing where humans were bottlenecking things and letting AI handle just enough to keep it personal and efficient. Biggest lesson: Automation doesn’t replace people, it amplifies their thinking, when used right. Curious to hear from the group: → What’s the simplest automation you’ve built that had the biggest ROI? → Or what process do you wish you could hand off to AI? Let’s swap ideas

@Shaker Automate Appreciate that! And yeah, client onboarding is such a smart use of AI, removing the repetitive stuff while keeping things personal. For me, it’s been eCommerce where AI really unlocked things. Automating product updates, support, and fulfillment freed up so much time. As for what I’d never trust AI with… probably storytelling and brand voice. There’s just something about the human touch in how we connect with customers emotionally that I feel AI still can’t fully replicate. Curious though, have you ever looked into eCommerce or thought about testing AI in that space? That’s where I started seeing real momentum.

AI Founder - “my landing page isn’t converting”
The fix was easy An AI Founder asked me to review his landing page last weekend. He was getting good traffic to it and all, but there was a conversion problem. I scrolled through his page and saw the usual suspects: Big claims. Lots of features. Lots of benefits. But I couldn’t picture the outcome from his AI service. And that was the issue. Not being able to SEE it. You can advertise “automates approvals”, “flags anomalies”, “optimizes ops” all you want. But if you want to convert visitors into bookings, they need to be able to envision the better state you’re promising. Your prospects want to see dashboards. Screenshots. Before/after flows of what you’re offering. They’ll listen to strong messaging and persuasive copy. But if you want them to believe it, they need to see it. Here were the recommendations I gave him to get this done: ✔ Show, then tell: → open with a real visual - UI, dashboard, flow diagram, Etc. ✔ Use side-by-side framing: Before: Manual data entry across 3 tools - hours lost After: Auto-filled via API - deployed in 30 seconds So basically, instead of just saying [Desired Outcome] → SHOW what the desired outcome looks like. Now your prospects see it. If they can see it, they’ll believe it. __ If you enjoyed this, follow me on LinkedIn for more marketing stuff for AI Founders. I hope this helps Dan 🤝

@Igor Ganapolsky That’s awesome, sounds like you’ve got some serious technical firepower. Agentic coding and RAG are huge right now. I’m curious though… with all your tech experience, have you ever come across any real-world eCommerce workflows or systems in the past? It’s been wild seeing how much opportunity exists when you plug AI into that space.

@Igor Ganapolsky Wow, that’s brilliant, Reddit’s such a goldmine for real, unfiltered feedback. Building a system around that is next level. Funny enough, someone in this community once helped me tap into a similar angle, and it’s been a game-changer for my eCom journey. If you’re ever open to it, I’d love to hear more about how your system works, or even connect you with the person who helped me. Could be some cool synergy there.
