Hormone-Disrupting Chemicals in Sunscreens
Why chemical filters like oxybenzone are more dangerous than you think. Common Chemical UV Filters to Avoid- - Oxybenzone - Avobenzone - Octinoxate - Homosalate - Octocrylene These chemicals are absorbed through the skin and have been detected in blood, urine, and even breast milk — sometimes days or weeks after a single use. How They Disrupt Hormones - Check to see if this correlates with a known Health Condition of yours or someone You love. Oxybenzone - Acts like a xenoestrogen (a synthetic compound that mimics estrogen) - Can bind to estrogen receptors, throwing off hormone balance - Linked to lower testosterone in adolescent boys - Associated with endometriosis, fertility issues, and earlier puberty in women Avobenzone - Degrades quickly in sunlight unless stabilized with other chemicals (like octocrylene) - Can form reactive oxygen species that damage cells and DNA - Disrupts the thyroid axis, affecting metabolism and energy regulation Octinoxate - Mimics estrogen and can interfere with progesterone and testosterone - Alters signaling in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis - Shown in animal studies to cause reproductive system disruption Others (like Homosalate & Octocrylene) - Linked to androgen suppression (lowering DHEA and testosterone) - Disrupt thyroid and adrenal hormone production - Increase oxidative stress and inflammation in the body These are not just “inactive ingredients.”They're bioactive, endocrine-disrupting, and often unregulated in terms of long-term human exposure. Even small, repeated exposures can add up — especially for children, teens, and women already dealing with hormone imbalances. Do you know of someone that uses lots of Sunscreen or regularly that suffers from any of these?

Wow, I didn’t know some sunscreens can do that to people. But then again, many companies put a lot of chemicals into their products, I don’t know if is cheaper to make by do themselves no that or what, but is important to be aware of ingredients and effects on the body. I personally don’t use sunscreen or know of anyone that use any. Thanks for the info.
I just can't decide.
Why Indecisiveness = Lack of Self-Belief At the root of indecision is usually one thing- You don’t fully trust yourself. Even when your head knows the facts, your heart knows what you want, and your gut is whispering (or screaming) the truth…You second-guess it. Why? Because deep down, you’re afraid that - You’ll make the wrong choice. - You’ll disappoint someone. - You’ll fail and prove yourself “not enough.” And when you don’t trust your own voice, you default to hesitation, delay, or outsourcing decisions to other people who “seem to know better.” What one ACTION would You take today or this week (if you want to put it off a bit more 🤣) if You trusted Yourself completely?

Great post, and question. My answer is to to more upper and lower body exercise than the one I am currently doing. I walk every day. Today I did 4 miles, I been doing three a day, but began to do four miles today. I tend to not doo much of the other exercises so I don’t over extenuate myself, but I play it too safe. I won’t be able to see much results from my upper and lower body exercises until I push myself harder.
Who would like the shatter ALL of those OLD Beliefs and patterns?
Old beliefs lead to old behaviors—and those lead to old results. When you upgrade your beliefs, you upgrade your metabolism. When people believe the wrong things, they take the wrong actions. That leads to frustration, burnout, and plateauing. Education rewires behavior, and new behavior shifts your metabolism—from surviving to thriving. Who would like the shatter ALL of those OLD Beliefs and patterns? Here's one - “Eat less, move more.” Truth: Chronic under-eating can slow metabolism, increase cortisol, and backfire long-term. Quality, timing, and hormonal balance matter more. Should I create a Series of these for You? If I get 15 or more interested people commenting I will create that for You. Comment below!👍
