BTL or SA
Hi all, We are completing in 4 days on 2 bed flat with parking in Exeter. Fairly high demand for BTL for about £1100 p/m. Mortgage cca £600 Management fees£1200 p/a I was checking SA, how should I calculate risk and possible profit? I am working as pharmacist full time so that would be unable to do it myself but with some management company. After finding tenants via Agency and protecting deposit we can manage New built ourselves as first 2 years are free snagging repairs. Do you think we would make more money by SA? Flat is cca 15 mins by car from city center close Marsh Barton close to motorway Torquay/Plymouth direction or the other way to Exminster and M5. Thank you for your opinion.

Co-invest via SIPP?

As a matter of interest how is it working with co-investing via SIPP? These containers seem to be interesting investment. I heard one need to get Tenant in before exchange on FRI? With 10-15 years lease something like this would be good investment? As for SIPP provider I need to check how much they charge before transferring my pension? What else should I check about SIPP provider? Annual charges? How is tax working in SIPP? Inheritance tax?

Alphabet shares
Hi, Well am newbie so tried to set up limited company with shares to include my 2 kids. I think the reason I had to give them 0 was I put is 4x 25% as class A. Kids are 10 and 5. Am I able to change it after set up to class N for kids in this age? I was reading somewhere that after 7 years they would be entitled to xy? After my death no inheritance tax and possibility to put it all to trust. Any more info about this please? Thank you

Different limited company for different structure?
We are completing on our BTL shortly. Opened limited company with Sic code or how you call it for this purpose. How long it has to be tenanted by law for before we can sell with profit in ltd and buy another one BMV? Thank you

BTL is still good strategy?
I just wondered what is your opinion about BTL in comparison with other strategies outhere. Some people call it vanilla like oldfashioned? I suppose if set up properly via limited company on interest only mortgage after releasing equity from own house, it can generate profit and interest for mortgage as tax deductible should make it net per month. Some people feel it is too slow. I am pharmacist and like my profession but am interested in properties so would like to work less in my field and invest more time and effort to various property strategies to earn extra income and make it work. Is commercial better way forward to invest my time now I paid for some course?

@Jonathan Stobbs I am looking into transferring pension to SIPP and buy some kind of commercial property, seen various types already. Commercial property sourcing is working the same like deal sourcing residential?

@Jonathan Stobbs Thank you for reply. I was told to start with SIPP as will have around £150K to invest. Then to transfer to SSAS. I am buying ETF's via investengine myself. Have Stocks@Shares private pension also with Virgin on top of the ones planning to transfer to SIPP. Paul Smith from Touchstone suggested to buy empty building and put Tenant in, not sure how to approach big guys to lease after purchase, yet.
