5.21.25 - Ease your lower back
I got a little heady and wordy in my explanation here. Your lower back get tight from sitting all day as your hip flexors shorten and pull on the spine and cause hyper lordosis or anterior pelvic tilt. We combat this NOT by only stretching the anterior hips and psoas… we do it by using the glutes and hamstrings and hip extensors to lengthen the psoas. This video shows you how… This is extremely counter intuitive and why many people persist in lower back pain for years.

Alright, alright, alright! I did the full version first thing this morning and three times an expedited 5 minute version 4 times in between sessions on the computer. Feels good, I’ll do the same tomorrow and report back. Thanks!
Flow Requests
Tell me about a specific “puzzle” or obstacle your dealing with to achieve movement freedom and I’ll include it on one of our daily AOMs and tag you in it.

Lower back pain.
Who are you? What do you do?
From anecdotal experience this group is about 70% entrepreneur or side-hustler (which is awesome). Use this as a thread to shamelessly say who you are( why you do, and the mission you are on. Your work and mission are a huge part of who you are and the path of freedom and growth you are on. Share and discuss in this category!

I am a Licensed Psycho....therapist. Also a former Stand-Up Comic so yeah, a Stand-Up Therapist. (I'm also a New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary...dropout so I've got your spirituality covered, too!) 3x Ironman finisher and multiple Half-Ironmans and marathons. In my talks and with my individual clients I definitely use physical movement as a prescription to feeling and thinking better! The last few years I have been trying to put muscle on my scrawny endurance runner arms with DEKA and other types of things that involved both cardio and strength. About 2 years ago I injured my...ego by performing poorly at an event and of course that led to overtraining and injuring my back. I'm 65 years old and have not said the word "O-L-D" or "T-I-R-E-D" about myself in over 10 years because I think those are give up words. That's why I'm here, to keep moving forward!
The Bare Minumum - 10.1.25
This is considered to be a bare minimum commitment to your mobility and longevity. This is mine. Establish yours. Make it sacred. Enjoy it. I like to add a couple maximal tensions in there for strength gains.
