How I stay focused as an ADHD entrepreneur 🧠
I have built three separate six-figure companies, and sold one of them for $350k. I've been a solopreneur for over a decade. (Till this year, when I partnered up with the dope-ass human that is @Rex Loyer ) All the while, I've dealt with my ADHD constantly bombarding me with shiny objects, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, procrastination, perfectionism... you name it, I've probably faced it. Here's are the best ways I've found to stay focused as an ADHD entrepreneur: 1️⃣ Having a clear vision and goal that excites me and lights me up. Never have I been more successful in my life than when I knew exactly what I wanted and was obsessed with getting it. If you don't know what you want, start with what you DON'T want. Go from there. 2️⃣ Utilizing body-doubling and accountability. The most consistent and sure-fire way I've found to getting something done when I'm really struggling to focus, is to have someone work with me and hold me accountable. This is why we have our virtual eat the frog sessions every single weekday morning. Working on something together—even if you're working on entirely different things and aren't even in the same room—is a cheat code to getting an ADHD brain to focus on the task at hand. 3️⃣ Coming from a place of "get to" rather than "have to". My ADHD brain HATES doing things I "have to" do but don't WANT to do. Especially if that task is boring or tedious, or I don't see the WHY behind doing it. The secret I've found here is to change the narrative; I don't HAVE to do anything. I get to—that is, I choose to—do this thing because it supports me in my vision (point #1). If it is truly a "have to" or "should do" thing, I GET to re-assess whether this task is actually in greatest service of my vision for my life. If it is, I GET to either CHOOSE this task (turn it into a choice and a get to) or remove this task by delegating, automating, or choosing not to complete it.

@Bill Widmer Thank you for these amazing tips and thanks again for taking the time meet with me the other day.
My Guiding Light for 2026
At the beginning of 2025, I decided to set a word for the year: Leadership. My intention was to better understand what it meant to be a leader and how to lead. Throughout the year, this showed up in many ways: - I started this community, - I began leading more and bigger events - I coached over a dozen entrepreneurs My favorite way I showed up as a leader? For my inner child. The little boy who was lost and needed someone to guide the way. I attached the photo I had as my phone background for most of the year… a photo to remind me who I was talking to whenever I was being mean to myself inside my own head. And who wanted to come out to play! It was such a beautiful year. Setting this word as my intention really shaped my decisions and thoughts, which shaped my outcomes. I still have a lot to learn about leadership. It will be something I continue to study. But 2026? At first, I thought my word was going to be “love”. I have a strong desire to deepen into love. But something was missing there… And during a loving kindness meditation today, it hit me: “Presence” A single word wasn’t cutting it. I needed a phrase! And so, my phrase of 2026 is Loving Presence. I have many goals; financial, mental, physical, relational, spiritual. But regardless of the category of the goal, my intention is to move towards it with loving presence. That is to say, being present with myself and with others, with love. With kindness. (Especially towards myself! I’m good at doing this with others, but can use some extra awareness towards myself.) This does not mean I can’t be direct or blunt. It means that I will, to the best of my ability, come back to loving presence as often as possible. I’m excited for the year to come… I’d love to hear from you. What is your word, phrase, or guiding light for 2026?

Love this 😀 ❤️
Just hopped off a call with Bill and… wow.
I just had my first clarity call with Bill and I needed to share this because my ADHD brain has been drowning in “I should do 8 things at once” energy for weeks. In 20 minutes he took my entire messy funnel, cut out the noise, and gave me three clear next steps I can actually follow without burning out. No fluff, no pressure, just laser-focused direction. If anyone here is stuck in the “I know what to do… but also I don’t” loop — the call is absolutely worth it. It felt like someone finally turned the lights on in a very chaotic room. Just wanted to say thanks publicly — and highlight that these calls exist, because damn… that was the most ADHD-friendly clarity I’ve had in a while. …wild how @Bill Widmer did in 20 minutes what I’ve been trying to do for 3 weeks and 47 Google Docs 😂
