dopamine detox
I'm going to go on a dopamine detox again. I've been feeling pretty bad those days and having listened to a podcast telling about dopamine I suspect that my baseline is too low because I keep getting dopamine peaks. I'll do my best to hopefully go better by the time i start my internship Tuesday.
Update
My body isn't feeling well today. I'm tired because since I've started waking up at 5am I havent really changed the time at which i go to bed. So from now on I will go to bed at 20:30. My feet also kinda hurts from the 10k steps a day, especially considering I'm closer to the 15k than 10k. I dont plan to stop tho. And my wrist hurt from the gym too. Thankfully tomorrow is my rest day. I went to the barber this afternoon, showed a picture of what I wanted it to look like and ended up with a completely different thing. When I came home I managed to style it kinda the way I want but I'm gonna buy some hair gel tomorrow to try to fix it even more. And I will go the doctor tomorrow to ask a lot of questions and get some medication. And I'm still in time for the 8 week plan I posted about a week ago. Anyway thank you for reading hope y'all are going well! Its time for me to go sleep
A great way to (not) use the phone
Today I reinstalled this app on my phone called "Forest". Basically it allow you to put a timer so you can focus during that time. Everytime you go through a focus period you grow a tree that goes in a virtual garden. However, if you go to another app, you get a remainder to focus and if you decide to ignore it, you get a dead tree in your garden. I find that app interesting because it allows you to put a timer during which you cannot use other apps, while still allowing you to cancel it if necessary (and punish you if you do so). I don't know if y'all already got apps like that but it's my personal favourite
A good way to use the phone
Found out about this app called "How We Feel" made by Yale's university and it allows you to track your emotions so you can see patterns, and so much more. I still feel like im scratching the surface of this app. Anyway I believe this is a good way to be more present because you get to ask yourself: how am I feeling? And apparently in the long run it also helps with emotional intelligence. So I recommend it to everyone there, and it's 100% free!

@Manny Singh no problem!
New Beginnings
I started a new job this week and it’s shown me a lot. I found out a lot of my strengths and weaknesses. Who knew that you can find out more about yourself, from things that happen in your everyday life. Grateful for the ability to see things from this perspective, as well, as being able to share this with a great group of people!🫶🏽
