I know I got to do this, But I don't.
"I know I should be studying cuz my exams are 2 months far. I know if I studied just 3-4 hours a day I can get very good grades, but I don't study. For the last 3 days, I've been obsessed with chess. In 3 days I have played like 6-7 hours of chess each day, and when I lose, I try to learn openings and to do chess puzzles. I think it's a good thing instead of scrolling reels, but I'm still not studying no matter what I do even If I watch anime or play chess or just procrastinate, it's no progress towards my goal. In the last ten days, I only studied like 5 hours ig, which is 0.5 hours each. This is messed up. I know the consequences and I'm aware of myself not doing anything. People say blame yourself to grow; I do, but nth changed. They say accept who you are, I accept I'm lazy so how do I fix this? Just wondering if some philosophers thought abt this shit and gave solutions."

You know grades are important to you but you js can't do it, bc your mind still value the immediate result and not a vague and obscure goal. When u play chess or watch anime the dopamine hits immediately, while the exams in the future are abstract and dont provide you any value at the moment. Thats why u procastinate. But the solution, I'm sorry i dont really know 😭😭😭
If Determinism exist. Does that excuse sinful actions?
"Hi In you latest video you talked about free will I wan to ask if there is no free will then are people like trump, Epstein, etc. are truly responsible for anything And also why people raised in similar situations turn out to be different? If there is no free will how can I really improve and become someone I really want to become ?" A questions a viewer asked recently. What do you guys think? Video: https://youtu.be/9Q9CAG5TBeo

Supposing if "hard determinism" is true, then an individual could not act otherwise, which means there is no free will. In this case, a criminal is "determined" to cause a crime, just like an earthquaka is determined to cause damage. Which means no actions can be labeled "good" or "evil " bc they are simple occurrences. If it is "soft determinism" instead, then moral responsibility is still possible. If this is the case then the actions of the person doing it is still caused by their character. So determinism doesnt excuse sinful actions Also, if there is really no free will, then some kind of "objective moral" or "higher power" defines all actions, which means the source of that sin is from that "higher power", not the individual "why people raised in similar situations turn out to be different?". If supposedly determinism is true and there is no free will, "similar" inputs does NOT give "similar" outputs, only "identical" inputs give "identical" outputs, bc of "deterministic chaos". You can see it very clealry through the butterfly effect. Search it up "If there is no free will how can I really improve and become someone I really want to become?" this is confusion between determinism and fatalism. Fatalism is when a specific outcome is designed and determined, no matter what choice is chosen. For example, in fatalism if you are destined to be unemployed and homeless, you WILL become unemployed and homeless even if you have 200iq. But determinism is when your actions creates necessary links that chain to gether to create the outcome. For example, you are unemployed and homeless bc you didn't study, you didnt study bc you dont have access to education, u dont have access to education bc ur family dont have enough money, so on and so on. So doing the action is the very cause required for the effect to happen (if in determinism)
