Let me set the scene Your sitting doing cold calling, you have your script memorised and younhave your lead list but some time cold calling session, on one of the call you either mess up the script, miss pronounce a word or even ask the wrong question. The call ends your mind starts running with various of negative thoughts like 'Why did I say that?' 'If only I didn't ask that question' 'Man I suck at this' Then these thoughts end up messing with your next call and you end up in this endless spiral. How do you guys stop this from occurring or am I the only one with this problem?
What is the best response when you get this objection after a the pitch. The other objection I also get is 'everything is perfect'. I am open to some suggestions.
@Steven L. When you say specific are you talking about the script I am using when I pitch? If so then I am simply out reaching to accounting firms with the service of web design and SEO, to help them stand out from their competition and get clients.
When the Gatekeeper or even the decision maker give you the objection of "we already have it sorted" or "we already have something in place". Typically what I do is mirror it and then say something like, I would assume you already have it sorted, then use a softener and challenge with a question from there, which often works. Curious to hear your thoughts on how you handle it, as very often as soon as the prospect gives that objection they hang up without giving you a chance to answer back. Do you interrupt the prospect or GK to try to continue the conversation or just leave it as it is and be respectful to wait for them to finish talking and take the gamble that they will let you talk after?
I am not sure who you are targeting as ICP but usually in my limited experience in doing cold calls if the gatekeeper is giving you the objection 'we already have a supplier' the call has gone bad. Then you will have to look at what you said to trigger the gatekeeper for them to give you this objection. No matter what I say to the gatekeeper, they won't have the power to make a decision.
I’ve set up a WhatsApp group for cold calling roleplay, and we’ve already got a few people in! The goal is simple: practice, improve, and give each other feedback. Whenever you’re up for a session, just drop a message in the group and find a partner to train with. If you want in, just comment on this post or shoot me a DM!
