Long sclerotic bone lesion distal femur
Any idea what this benigne sclerotic lesion is? it is in the bone marrow and not in the cortex. Stable for years. DD old bone infarct? dysplasia? Thanks 😊

Are we not seeing a particular projection which simply highlighted the linea aspera ? Here is the illustration from ''Borderlands of Normal and Early Pathological Findings in Skeletal Radiography'' : There does seem to be a second parallel one on your AP view , just less intensely seen.
Differentials?
Post traumatic fracture of the femoral shaft , these multiple lucent lesion in distal femur and proximal tibia??

I missed this and it seems it has expired - what was the topic all about ? Is there a way to still view it? @Im Beg

Amazing clarification - thanks Chris. A somewhat associated issue is the term ''Arcuate Fracture'' of the fibula styloid process : this term is based on the terminology of the Arcuate ligament complex. This term will probably remain in the literature , but we are now at least aware that the 'arcuate ligament complex' is an archaic, outdated terminology. ‘’Avulsion Fracture of the Head of the Fibula (the “Arcuate” Sign): MR Imaging Findings Predictive of Injuries to the Posterolateral Ligaments and Posterior Cruciate Ligament.’’ The avulsion fracture of the styloid process of the fibular head was apparently related to injuries of the arcuate complex in all 13 patients. https://ajronline.org/doi/10.2214/ajr.180.2.1800381 AJR:180, February 2003 @Christoph Agten @Kay Hermann

https://radsource.us/the-anterior-meniscofemoral-ligament-of-the-medial-meniscus/ ...... it has been termed by various authors ''the anterior meniscofemoral ligament of the medial meniscus'', ''the anteromedial meniscofemoral ligament (of the anterior horn of the medial meniscus)'', and as an ''anomalous insertion of the medial meniscus''. I found this following point interesting - but not important ..Regarding the ''meniscofemoral ligaments ...............the term ligament is a misnomer, since the structures do not extend from bone to bone as is customary for a ligament''. 😒
