Christmas Jokes
I have so many there is no way to post them all so I'll just randomly give you the best ones. What is Santa Claus' favorite potato chip? Crisp Pringles. Know why Santa never has to go to the hospital? He has private Elf-Care.

Post Halloween
Anyone have post Halloween candy hangover? Was it worth it? I have a problem with Cheetos. If I start eating them, I will eat the whole bag. And even if I measure some out for myself and put the bag away, I will still go get more. I guess that is my one snack that I have a weakness for. So, I just don't have it around. Maybe once a year I will allow myself to have some. And when I do, I allow myself to enjoy it. I will fully embrace that eating moment. And it will be fulfilling for about 20 minutes... But there is something to be said for powdered cheese and MSG together. That is definitely a flavor booster! I did not have any Cheetos just in case you are wondering. Right now I'm intent on fulfilling my fitness goals and Cheetos just don't fit in with my meal plan right now. Do you have any snacks that you have a weakness for?

@Andrew Brooks No , not so far. As I have a huge nut allergie I dare not to try anything with coconuts 🫤
Golden Milk : my other favorite tea
More cold weather begs me to bring out golden milk : a turmeric based tea I love this tea for several reasons. I love the spiciness and warmth of it. And I love the anti-inflammatory benefits of this tea. Curcumin in the compound responsible for the anti-inflammatory benefits and is activated by piperine found in black pepper. Those two should always be together in order to have those benefits. I also like that golden milk is caffeine free so I can drink it any time. It is also very easy on the stomach and aids in digestion as an added benefit. If you want more coconut flavor, you can blitz in 1-2 tsp coconut powder in the final step. *side note : turmeric will stain clothes. It has been used as a dye for centuries. It will also turn your Invisalign trays yellow and will stain retainers for those of you who wear those. 😆 Golden Milk Tea - 8 oz. coconut milk (or regular milk) - 8 oz. filtered water - 1 teaspoon ground turmeric - ¼ teaspoon ground high oil cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon ginger - ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom - pinch black pepper - 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey OPTIONAL - ½ tablespoon MCT coconut oil or coconut oil Method 1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors meld. 2. If using the coconut oil, add that in now. 3. Using a hand blender, blitz the tea in the pot for 3-5 seconds just to emulsify everything. Serve immediately.

Happy Monday
Happy Monday my people! For this week I'm thinking about making small choices that add up to big impact. I always tell my clients that if they are going to have snacks to measure them out first, then put the bag away. That's all you get. That way, you consume (and enjoy) your pre-planned snack AND it doesn't break the calorie bank for the day. That's a win. So, I'm going to stop sitting down with a bag of macadamia nuts and I'm going to put my 3 oz in a bowl first. No more mindless eating. That's your thought for the week. How can you put that into practice?

@Andrew Brooks Thank you so much. Vegetable chips we have here, from beets, parsnip, never seen mushroom chips before. I need to go on the hunt for freeze dried veggies now. 😉
