Me, @Rex Loyer and our moderators @Reema Rana, @Sebastian Schroeder and @Rebecca Bautista are all live for the next 30 min to answer your questions or fight you with GIFs! P.S. DONT FORGET TO LIKE EACH OTHER'S COMMENTS! It helps us with engagement, it's fun, and it's polite! :) Drop a comment below, with your questions, GIFs, or answers to one of the following questions... What’s the most productive way to take breaks — power nap, short walk, quick stretch, or switching tasks? And which one is secretly self-sabotage disguised as self-care? Is it better to focus on one goal for 90 days or juggle two or three smaller goals? At what point does “multi-goal” become “ADHD chaos mode”? What’s the most underrated productivity habit — and what’s the most overrated one that everyone pretends works but actually doesn’t?

🧠✨Why Language Matters for Us ADHD Founders
Hello beautiful humans! Recent experiences working with Neurodivergent children and their families IRL have had me reflecting on the language we use to describe our experiences. So if I may be so bold, I wanted to speak directly to you.... the passionate, creative, neurodivergent founders who build businesses from inside the turbulence of our own nervous systems. It's likely to be a long one [zero surprises there 🤣] so maybe grab a cuppa, fidget, weighted blanket [whatever works best for you!] If there’s one thing I’ve seen over and over in decades of working alongside neurodivergent women, children, and families, it’s this: the words we hear become the stories we carry. Inevitably, those stories become the architecture of our business and lives. When we consider the evidence based research that has identified that by the time children with ADHD reach between ages 10-12, they are estimated to have received at least 20,000 more negative messages/interactions with teachers, parents, coaches and other adults than their neurotypical peers,💔 it's no wonder the prevalence of imposter syndrome, masking, and identity mirroring that we embody and experience. 🔑These aren’t small moments. These are cumulative. They gather like debt in our nervous system. Now maybe this hasn't been a part of your story...and to you I send a wholehearted HELL YEAH! However, maybe this was very much your experience, and subconsciously you internalised some of that negative interactions or experiences. Maybe you still feel the echo of it when you’re pitching, when you’re networking, when you’re sitting in front of your laptop doubting whether you belong in the ‘entrepreneur’ club at all? That’s where imposter syndrome creeps in. For us ADHD‐founders, it can often feel less like “I don’t know enough” and more like “I don’t deserve this.” But here’s the truth, the good news I want you to hold today... 🔑You are not broken. 🔑You are not behind. 🔑You are not the problem. 🔑You are wired differently, and that wiring holds an immense creative, strategic, intuitive capacity that your world desperately needs.

@Matthew O'Brien I love this so very much; especially your reflection on validation. It’s such a powerful word, and a truly transformative experience! There’s something almost cellular about what happens in our bodies when we feel seen after decades of internalised “try harder” messages. It’s like our nervous systems exhale. And I couldn't agree more! I too suspect that the 20K is an undercount! I suspect that it only captures only the external corrections, whilst the thousands of quiet, internalised self-corrections that come after them remain unaccounted for. Those internal “micro-no’s” we whisper to ourselves that became part of our story that we carried, until we were able to start actively rewriting it! Clearly you’re doing an incredible job of that rewrite! 🙌🏼. Also, love me a metaphor! The Greatest American Hero is such a perfect metaphor, certainly for my experience! That sense of flying before we know how the suit works feels so familiar. 🦸‍♀️ So here’s to decoding our own manuals, re-writing our narrative, one nervous-system-honouring step at a time, and to surrounding ourselves with people who remind us that we were never broken, just built differently. 💛 Cheering you on! 🙌🏼
Hey wonderfully wired Founders! 💛
Hi everyone! Huge thanks for the warm welcome. When you @Bill Widmer encouraged us to create a video I decided to let the dopamine do it's thing and make one to intro myself! I am currently challenging myself to dare to be brave, imperfect and quick to take action! So here goes! 🧠✨I am a late-diagnosed combined type ADHD [technically 2E, I was identified as a child, however there was little research or understanding at the time, so I've only understood this wonderful wiring as an adult]. So I'm obsessed with helping women who are burnt out and navigating their own neurodivergence feeling seen, heard and understood, and learning how to love, live, and work with their unique brains, strengths, burts and energy flows. Biggest challenge with my ADHD and biz is definitely perfection paralysis. I get stuck in creating the ideas and then in the making, I'm never happy with the product so want to keep on tweaking it over and over to the point that it never leaves my computer. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I keep reminding myself progress over perfection but it's a work in progress if I'm honest. Really looking forward to connecting with you and learning from you.

@Michele Chapman oh my word this has blessed me so very much! Thank you for your kindness 💕 Your experience is so valuable! I am so glad that your clients have you in their world! Massage is such an important therapy! That proprioceptive input is so key for so many ND peeps regulation! Also SO GOOD to meet another 2E’er 💕 I love that we get to do this together, learn from each other and help as many people as we can along the way 🫶

@Matthew LaBosco SO MUCH THIS!!!!!!!!! 💯 I actually couldn't agree more! It's such a common experience for that wonderfully complex high-capacity neurodivergent, gifted and sensitive profile/neurotype! You have so perfectly articulated that draw into bringing to life the depth and complexity inherent within our ideas authentically. I love that reframe! Rather than how polished, professional, and seamless our work "could" be, success reflects the degree of alignment with our core values and purposes. I am definitely going to borrow this reframe and take it for a test run! Can't thank you enough! Mad respect 🙏
TIERSSSSSSSS!!

Hey @Joshua Gatonyi awesome to meet you. I just joined this awesome community too. Stoked to be here! You mentioned your struggle with adhd is structuring your speaking. Can you tell me a bit more about the challenge you're facing with structuring? Do you mean the order, the flow, the clarity? And secondly what have you already tried to overcome the challenge? I just don't want to be that person that has either misunderstood you or gives you 3 ideas to try that you have already tried and found didn't work for you? Love to help if I can 🤷‍♀️
