What should our next article be about?
Thanks to everyone who checked our article out on service members entering the fitness industry. I'm going to start writing more about things like this, sharing some personal experiences that I learned from my time in the military, and pretty much anything that I feel like will be helpful for your training. Lots of different directions to go right off the bat though - what are some topics you'd like to learn more about? Or general subjects you're interested in and want to hear more? Subscribe to the substack if you'd like. I'll be dropping links in this forum as well.

@Brian T It will open up ideas and success for many people. I've had too many conversations with friends who don't do anything because they can't arrange for a "dedicated 1-hour workout at the gym." If we could send a message that effective fitness can adapt to time, place, equipment, and energy available, we'd have many more father figures instead of dad bods.

@Brian T Has any of the team done internships with Coach Rob at Mountain Tactical Institute?
Introduction Christian Bosse
Hi, my name is Christian, and I have been working as a strength & conditioning coach for the last 20+ years. First and foremost I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of this community. I hope I can positively contribute to this community, and share the lessons I have learned to help others learn from it. Basically, you don't have to make the mistakes I did 😊 Since I want to keep this post about how I can contribute to the community, I leave this post as it is now. If you are interested in my experiences, I am happy to share them, if you indicate it in the comments 😊 All the best, Christian.

@Christian Bosse Thanks for your experience. I'm sensing that any and all study materials help drive it in.
Thread Idea - Thoughts?
Wanted to get your thoughts on an idea for a sub-community in this group. I get a ton of questions about prepping for the CSCS or from people who want to go from being in the military to getting their coaching certifications and working in the field. Would this be a helpful sub-community for anybody? If you're interested, then please just give the post a like or drop a comment with feedback so I can gauge interest.

At this time, I vote yes. Since I'm early on the path studying for CSCS and TSAC-F soon after. I read through your post, thanks for those references, I like Matt's study course, i'm considering investing in it. I have come to appreciate a good coach qualifies as "life saving equipment."
Body fat at selection
My selection date is in November for a Canadian Maritime Interdiction unit. Im 160 lbs at 5'10 ish. I'm wondering how often people have success at selection with visible abs. Or an idea of how much weight I should put on.

Lean and mean. Here’s a story from Cadre Dan about his Selection prep. He started gaining weight in the couple training months leading up to his start date. Enjoy. https://blog.goruck.com/rucking-training/how-to-pass-selection/

@Camden Carter I started calling my bride “my smokin hot wife” because of this.
Neckvember and warfighter
Hey all, it looks like neckvember is a bolt on program, but I am curious if you see any issues adding it on the upcoming cycle of warfighter? Thanks!
