Low bar or high bar squats
Which type would you guys recommend? Ive always stuck with high bar, because it feels good and i get a real good range of motion without significant butt wink. Recently ive tried low bar, i definitely felt it more in my posterior chain. If there are benefits to the different bar placement, i would love to hear about it.

Part of your answer is already in your question @Pieter Troskie the high-bar targets a bit more the anterior chain, and the low-bar the posterior chain. So depending on what you are trying to achieve, you choose your squat variation.

@Pieter Troskie it’s not a coincidence that powerlifters use the low bar squat (regarding: being able to move more weight doing low bar). I wrote a few articles on high-bar and low-bar squats on my website. Shall I drop them here?
Introduction Christian Bosse
Hi, my name is Christian, and I have been working as a strength & conditioning coach for the last 20+ years. First and foremost I want to thank you for allowing me to be part of this community. I hope I can positively contribute to this community, and share the lessons I have learned to help others learn from it. Basically, you don't have to make the mistakes I did 😊 Since I want to keep this post about how I can contribute to the community, I leave this post as it is now. If you are interested in my experiences, I am happy to share them, if you indicate it in the comments 😊 All the best, Christian.

@McLaughlin Thomas excuse my late response šŸ˜” yes, I have the CSCS, I also did the UKSCA ASCC and the ASCA level 2, so I have a decent comparison. If I reflect back on my studies for the CSCS , I’d say you certainly have to learn by the book (Essentials of S & C). I remember back then I did purchase some practice exam materials with audio CDs (back in the days šŸ˜‰) and practice exams. That has helped me a lot.

@McLaughlin Thomas all the best! For the CSCS you definitely need to study the book.

I consider myself a normal guy, who was fortunate to train 7 Olympic champions and more than 30 World champions as their Strength & Conditioning coach
