Rooted Alchemy family, we just surpassed 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. Wow. Back in August, who would have thought we would build a Tai Chi community of over 100,000 people practicing together from all over the world. This journey has been incredibly humbling, and we’re deeply grateful to every single one of you who has been here, practicing, watching, and growing with us. We’re excited for what the future holds and grateful for your patience as we continue building intentionally behind the scenes. Just know that we’re still early, and there is so much more to come. And a huge thank you to Sonny for practicing, teaching, and learning with such depth and integrity that it naturally spread far and wide. Stay the course.

Feeling grateful to be making these connections through something we are all building together, a community that supports, practices, and encourages together…and that good energy we build within ourselves goes out to our respective homes, friends and family, communities, furry friends, or however you want to direct that energy into more the adventures. Ground up, one breath at a time. Thank you everyone, especially Sonny, my mom, Josh and Jayda! ❤️ 🙏🏼

The Taichi stick~
Check out the new Taichi stick video! I love practicing with the stick. It's such a great method of stretching out the upper body. I continue to make it a 30 min. practice daily and I use it for balance while practicing Taichi circle walking. I'm amazed at the benefits and the results that I have achieved through my body's posture and throughout my neck, shoulders, forearms and wrists. Thanks' Sonny for this new video! 🙏

Isn’t it great? And gives such great feedback to the body. Strange how the tai chi stick can feel so heavy at times. 😅

@Davida Smith observing what we do and what sensations arise throughout practice and across time is important to understand 1) how we can adjust the practice 2) and how adjustments affect the body. “Normal” is so different for each of us. My personal experience: when I first started qi gong and tai chi even after a decade of practicing yoga, my feet would get very warm, almost too hot during the day and night, which was not normal for me. I also noticed parts of my feet would get very tired during practice. So I adjusted by either making my practice time shorter, take breaks between movements taking a little circle walk around the room, or outside of practice I would massage or do a few extra warm up feet exercises throughout the day, nothing intense just when I thought about it. 😊
