Calorie vs protein
Which is more important to building muscle? Protein intake or calories? Recently I was tracking and getting about 3600-3800 calories a day and I wasn’t gaining any weight or making progress. My carb intake was super high. Recently I am trying to switch to a much higher protein intake. Which is more important for adding mass? I have not been making progress while eating 3600-3800 calories I’m not sure why? (Yes I track my calories, usually underestimate)
Volume
Another question about how many times a week I should workout. My current plan is push pull leg rest and then repeat. Should I stick with this or increase how often I do push pull? If you have a better weekly plan for muscle mass can you please share this with me!

@Brandon Maloney thanks bro πŸ™ that’s some crazy good info. I have been following Daemons YouTube videos as well about training for mass and strength. He talk about instead of doing sets and reps to hit a certain number of reps that session. So for example my last pull day I do front lever workout for strength and then I hit 80 pull-ups for that session. Next session I need to either make the 80 in less time or shoot for 90 reps for the session. That does go against what you said for trying to keep a lower volume but everywhere I heard the way he put in mass and size was from hitting a certain number of reps for the session and increasing that each time.

@Brandon Maloney thanks bro! I have been going to failure with that emom sets and only doing short rest times. I was just thinking since it worked so well for Daemon and it is all he talks about I figured it should work
Muscle mass
Doing homeworkout and calisthenics what should I do for pure muscle mass and size? I see that he is really big and he did home workout calisthenics only so how should I go about gaining size? Should I do EMOms or dropsets? I have been working out for a while and nothing really seems to work and I feel confused with muscle mass training even though I have been workout out for about a year
Workout plan
Can someone give me tips on what a push day should look like? Right now I’m doing the handstand push-up progressions and then after I am doing the 15-12-10-8-5 dropset with dips wearing a small weighted vest. Each week I am trying to add more reps. Is this good for push day or should I add more. Pull day is about the same but with front lever instead

Arm growth
Does anyone have really good tips on getting huge arms from just calisthenics. I have been hitting total rep goals each day trying to progress with the basics like 100 dips on push day and 70+ pull-ups on pull days. Do you guys recommend doing anything for arm specifically or just stick with the two basic exercises and they will eventually grow. I feel like my chest and back are going ahead of arms
