TRUST in Leadership
'The leader trusts the follower to act within the stated intent and direction given, while the follower trusts the leader to provide the support, resources and over-arching command responsibility for the task at hand.' Trust and micromanaging cannot coexist. Is there trust within your team or is this a work-in-progress?

@Kaz Murray yes! Trust shows up in observable behaviors: honest feedback, reliable follow-through, clean accountability, and people speaking up early.
Army Leadership Code- LEADERS
S- Strive for team goals. Prioritise collective objectives over individual ones. What’s our thoughts on this one? I feel maybe parking individuals goals isn’t the best way to get the most out of a team. If they don’t feel valued, this might end up being counter productive in the end.

@Kaz Murray "Prioritize collective objectives over individual ones" (Murray, 2026). Strong leadership standard, when collective objectives lead, individual goals align faster, decisions get simpler, and the team protects the mission over ego.
Wisdom Wednesday: "It’s Not About You: Leadership, Communication, and Putting Others First" - Maxwell Leadership Executive Podcast Episode
Hey Leaders, It's not about you—it's about them. In this week's Wisdom Wednesday episode, John Maxwell shares the powerful shift that transforms everyday leaders into extraordinary influencers and makes it possible for your leadership to truly impact others! After his lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede share real-world examples of how making it about others unlocks trust, connection, and next-level leadership. Key takeaways: - The more you focus on adding value to others, the more you'll receive value in return. -To communicate in a way that truly resonates, make your message all about your audience, not yourself. -The three questions every follower is asking about their leader: Do you care about me? Can you help me? Can I trust you? Click here to listen. https://youtu.be/wWxFn5S6VpM?si=W8benWM47hZ7G6a7 The BONUS resource for this episode is the It’s Not About You: Leadership, Communication, and Putting Others First Worksheet, which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John’s teaching. - Dr. Joe

@Joseph Richardson Exactly, those three questions shape every relationship: show care through attention, prove help through practical support, and earn trust through consistent follow-through.
