Communication
My lad doesn't shut up at home but on the pitchni think the occasion gets to him and his communication is very inconsistent any ideas how to improve this please
Mindset
My son is 9 years old Good shot stopper and good at sweeping at the back but gets nervous when he needs to command by shouting keepers etc once he's in the game he gives certain instruction like away and get out. At what age do you think it's acceptable to try change his mindset and get him more confident to bark out orders etc

Kia Ora everyone, we’ve just received the email from the team at J4K to let us know my son Tyler is now a sponsored J4K keeper. So excited for the future. We are based in the Nth Island of NZ His team is FCTauranga Moana.

Congratulations young man
Positive mind set
For some reason my u8 keeper had a real dip yesterday in confidence he’s been playing fine in matches been winning etc but last nights training he took a real down hill spiral in confidence the conditions were horrible but he got himself in a right mood How do you guys handle this with young goalkeepers he’s got adhd and dyspraxia too so makes it sometimes harder

I'm a coach and dad for our team, my son is the goalkeeper 2 seasons ago he started off really well then his previous coach kept getting on his back, so obviously confidence was at all time lol wouldn't even dive bless him, so we moved him team set our own up at Worksop town, at first he was down but I looked hard at fun training sessions and how to keep focus while training and come up with my own ways of coaching him, what I then did was spoke with my other coach and asked that he deals with any issues my boy has so it separates that parent coach bit out of the equation, since then he has come on leaps and bounds cleaned up at awards presentation last season and has recently been scouted at 2 academy's it's just perseverance and finding that balance that suits both Always find the positives in everything he does even if he makes a mistake disregard that and find a positive solution

There's no halm having a small debrief with him either asking him his thoughts on the game gets him involved without feeling the pressure
Any tips on solo training
I’ve been trying to do solo training for some time without a rebounder or much but a pitch and three pumped up footballs. Would love to hear what you do or what you think I could do

@Toby Stockford-Brain there's plenty of options to do both in 1 mate, I use 1 specific 1 with my young gks and my son, I have 4 cones set outside of both posts, with another cone set about a foot or 2 inside the either posts with 2 then set in the middle of the goal, qe then run through the footwork drills high knees over cones in out etc we continue a charge after last cone to the middle set of cones then we set the gks, we then shoot down low and our aim is to get them to dive onto the cone set inside the post, thus encourages them To get down as quick as possible it's a great simple but effective drill and all gks have come loads since the start of season give it a try mate
