Move of the day!!
Today’s move is the Step Through! This elite move will get easy buckets on even the toughest defenders when used right! All it takes is separation from your defender, getting them to bite, and stepping toward the basket for an open shot! And no… this is not a travel. You are allowed to lift your pivot foot as long as you shoot or pass before the pivot foot touches the floor again! Try this move out next time you hoop! Comment any questions! Is your crossover trash?
If you have an awkward looking crossover that NEVER gets you anywhere… And a defensive stance that can’t stop a single player… You likely have weak adductors! This inner thigh muscle is key for athleticism but is somehow often ignored. If you want to ACTUALLY move freely and become athletic then you must strengthen them. Start with a Copenhagen plank. You can do reps or hold the plank at the top. Once you get more advanced, you’ll need to do these band resisted Cossack squats. Move of the day!!
Today’s move tutorial is for the Hezi Cross! This move will leave defenders in the dust, and get you easy shots if they back up! Start by setting up your defender with a few dribbles. This leaves them unsure what you’re about to do. Next bring your feet together and slightly squat low to look like a shot. As you do this, bring your hand near the ball. Then as they bite cross the other direction. This will get you an advantage every time in one way or another… even against good defenders.
