Sunny and 65 degrees!
Crazy weather we’re having in the PNW. Great for running, terrible for skiing.

Wonderful! I'm having big motivation problems here with extreme cold and tons of snow. Running feels like a chore, so I am missing more days. Anyone else struggling with motivation?
Group run
Fun run this morning with our Club run.

This was my workout yesterday, my driveway with a hand held shovel. Today I am mostly dead, haha!

@Herb Reeves Maybe, haha! I did get horrible vertigo from it, and I'm still sidelined 🀒

That is a fantastic photo and you look STRONG brother!
Low heart rate run
At least once a week I love running longer runs with controlled low heart rate on a treadmill. It is easier for me to control it indoor then outdoor, where it keeps jumping around, usually higher then I want it to. How do you guys manage to keep a low heart rate when running outdoor, beside walking?

Hello Harry! I have found that my pace is a full minute slower in the Winter if I stay in Zone 2. It drives me crazy but I grudgingly succumb to it. For instance, today it was 14Β° here and my Zone 2 put me at 10:30 per mile pace. Last Autumn I was 9:20ish with the same heartrate. So the painful truth is: slow down!

Well I feel like a knucklehead Harry....just because it's nasty Winter here doesn't mean you have the same conditions πŸ™ƒ so I'm guessing the HR variance is in elevation changes to your route.

Attaboy coach! I crammed in 30 miles in the last 6 days cuz we will be getting 12 inches of snow overnight!
