Just because I am done with them does not mean they are done!
I went into my closet yesterday morning and noticed all my 9 to 5 work clothes have been pushed to the back! I retired from working for someone else full-time for 45 years, a year ago last December. I now spend all my time caring for my disabled wife, being an artist, writer, and modern agriculturist. My first pass through my closet last year resulted in ten suits being pulled out. My wife remembered that Ole Miss, we are both Ole Miss alumni, has a clothing bank. Students can come by and pick up good clothes for free. Shipping was a bit expensive, so the next boxes of cloths were delivered when I made my annual pilgrimage to campus in the summer. It was funny, the lady that oversees the project said, the suits were hung and were untouched for about five days, then someone came in and picked out one. The next day all the other ones were gone.

Hats, Cowboy Type!
I am normally a preppy guy, but I am an artist and a Modern Agriculturist too! So, I dress for the day’s tasks or jobs. In the fall we move cows! There has been a lot of talk about hats, there is a long history of the cowboy hat and when and why it is worn. This is just me, but I feel like what is now known as the cowboy hat came about after the War of Northern Aggression, (Civil War). My great grandfather was VMI and an Officer Confederate Cavalryman. That cover changed how a working horseman looked but mostly was unnoticed until Hollywood noticed. The cowboy hat serves it’s purpose and does it well.

@Raymond Reeves That hat is a RESISTOL 4XXXX AND IS 32 years old and I have a Bailey that is even older. Also, a Stetson that is really old, it was my father's. He passed 24 years ago, and it was old then, so maybe 50? Take good care of them and they will take care of you! Thanks Raymond!
Dream Car question
I know we are a style community, but I’ve always been a believer that a car can be an extension of your style. I’m curious as to what car or cars would be in your garage if money was no concern. For example, I have three that I’ve always gone back to, a 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350H, a 1965 Ford Thunderbird, and an early 1990s Land Rover Defender 110. No rhyme or reason, just my personal preference. What’s yours?

@Jacob Rintoul You are so right but, it will take some work, there are so many cookie cutter SUVs on the road. It is hard to tell them apart!

@Mitch Hoover I just bought three, all the same, F-150, same package. One is on its way to TN/MS, one to MT and one I am keeping here in WA.
Let's talk braces (or suspenders)
Do you wear braces (suspenders)? If so, with what pants (trousers) or shirts do you style them with? I'm looking to explore the limits of them, hopefully without looking foolish. 😂 Warner EDIT: Man, tons of responses and opinions.....quite varied. Thanks to everyone who has replied and those who will in the future. I have a lot to mull over now.

I do with a suit, mine have buttons! I also wear leather with a ring clip (clips to the belt loops) with jeans, just more comfortable while working in the saddle.
Introduce Yourself (ALL Intros HERE Please!)
OK, so by introducing yourself you are guaranteed to get to level 2 - it's really that easy and I LOVE learning more about the cool people in this group. Feel free to share where you're from, why you're here, what you do for a living, and what you like about style. Are you a watch guy, suit guy, fragrance guy, or maybe just getting started? Have fun here!

Veel plezier, Mark I think you will find this site fun, I enjoy it. I do sometimes find it a bit addictive. It is nice when you see someone's ideas about how you can add to your style and not spend a lot of money.
