Facebook Lead Ads
I've been running FB Lead ads and have over 300 downloads, which is great. But I have encountered two problems: 1. I'm using BookFunnel, and Facebook isn't seeing/counting the lead results from BookFunnel. I used my pixel #, and picked "leads" for both BookFunnel and Facebook. Should I use a different category than leads? 2. After running for two or three days, my FB lead ads stop running. This has happened twice. (I duplicated the ad & made some tweaks so the second ad was slightly different.) Do they stop running because FB isn't recognizing that the ads are delivering the results I want? Or could it be something else (I've looked all over my admin pages for any messages that my ads are violating anything, but it says I'm within the guidelines/no reports). Suggestions? Please and thank you!

You also have to set up the conversion event in Bookfunnel on the landing page. It's at the bottom of the landing page in the advanced section. Would need to pick lead there for the conversion event.

@Jenna Barwin hmmm... Facebook store doing that before domain thing awhile back. I run lead ads to Bookfunnel without that and it works a ok. You definitely don't want the page load event to be lead, that would count just viewing the page as a lead Any chance you could take a screenshot of the Bookfunnel config?
I think I finally (after so many attempts) found my book covers!
After several redesigns - having settled on the current covers (presently on Amazon) as a safe/temporary option until my brain would conjure something else up - I have, I believe, finally found the look for my covers. After researching so many historical satire covers, & after playing around this past 2 weeks with new ideas, I have arrived - methinks? Though I write historically-timed books, they are more classic in cadence with adventure, suspense, satire, mystery, espionage, & romance all wrapped up together; & particularly with my narrative voice being heavily influenced by such authors as Fielding, Dickens, Haywood, Austen, Burney, etc, it has been a real head-killer to composite all this in the book covers. I just know I had not hit it! My tropes are (as shown in the one creative text attached below): Amnesiac hero; anti-heroism; Satire of accidental hero; comedy of errors; fugitive on the run; classic fiction; ticking clock; political intrigue; quest for identity; inept protagonist; mistaken identity; histfic; Macguffin. I have just felt that I was not hitting in with my current covers. But I think this look might finally do? Thoughts anyone?

These are super cool!~ I am eager to see how they do. I just have oonnneeee tiny suggestion: I wouldn't put type over the character's face.

@Kendra Johnston Did you change out the attribution links to give them their own?
Expensive November
You're all probably already aware, but I have noticed CPC skyrocket over this weekend. After some digging, it seems with it being November (run-up to BF & CM) this is what causes it. Anyone else noticing spikes? Where I would usually pay 18p cpc, I'm paying over £2!

Sales and Lead ads definitely jump a lot more in November. Are you doing direct sales on your site? Sales ads going to amazon don't work well as FB can't see the conversion and things stay in learning forever.
Performance goals: Landing pages
FB ads are now defaulting to Landing pages instead of clicks, even though I am doing traffic ads. Has anyone tried this? What does it actually do? @Malorie Cooper

I talked about this in the class from this past monday if you want more deets. In short, what it does is see how long people stay on the page you link to. FB is able to do this because for most people they stay in the FB (or IG) app when they click a link. However, if they have the amazon app, they end up there and FB can't track how long they stay. In my testing it doesn't seem to work quite as well as using the previous maximize link click option.
