The importance of knowing your target audience, if you understand the people that you are marketing to, you can handle their objections even before they raise them. Try to sell a solution not a product. For example, lets say your target audience is teenage boys who are trying to improve themselves. You will talk about how they feel like they are falling behind others, how they want to improve themselves but are confused on how to do so. Then you will sell the course to them as a solution to that problem You must understand the difference between your target audience and your target avatar. Target audience is the general demographic that you are trying to sell to. For a fitness program, the target audience would be something like: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Men ๐Ÿ‘‰ Aged 35-55 ๐Ÿ‘‰ Working full-time supporting a family ๐Ÿ‘‰ Struggling to stay consistent with eating well and exercising. Target Avatar is a specific person in that demographic. For example: ๐Ÿ‘‰ Alex ๐Ÿ‘‰ Toronto ๐Ÿ‘‰ 41 years old ๐Ÿ‘‰ Weighs 250lbs ๐Ÿ‘‰ Plumber who supports his whole family. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Has a packed lunch, but often gets McDonald's while driving and snacks during the day. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Interested in cars, beer, crypto, fishing, and gaming ๐Ÿ‘‰ Stressed from day to day as he runs his own business, and comes home to a chaotic house. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Biggest worries are making sure he earns enough money and struggling physically to work. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Wants to shed 50+lbs so that work is easier, wants to eat less junk food to save money. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Concerned about buying a fitness program because he is skeptical whether it will work. Tyson also talks about the important things you need to know to make a target avatar; ๐Ÿ‘‰ Demographics = Age, location, income, job title (the basics everyone does) ๐Ÿ‘‰ Psychographics = Values, interests, lifestyle, personality traits ๐Ÿ‘‰ Pain Points = What keeps them up at night, daily frustrations, big problems ๐Ÿ‘‰ Desires = What they want to achieve, their dream outcomes, aspirations ๐Ÿ‘‰ Objections = Why they don't buy, what makes them hesitate, their skepticism

Today, Tyson talks about the importance of research. You cannot just write what sounds good to you; your copy should truly resonate with the target audience. THE 3 PILLARS: 1)Avatar Research - You need to know exactly who the content is made for. You can't write copy as if addressing a teenage boy when your core audience is middle-aged women, it simply won't resonate with them. 2)Competitor Research -Instead of wasting time trying to reinvent the wheel, look at what already works and build upon it. 3)Brand Voice Research -The copy should not sound like you; it should sound like your client. Make sure to involve their personality, use their keywords, wit, jokes, and unique style in the copy.
Day 7
Multiple testimonials from people whose lives were transformed by dedicating themselves fully to copywriting. Stories include living in dark rooms, having no electricity, and barely speaking English, the whole struggle. The key nuggets of information that resonated with me most: - Donโ€™t wait for the right time to start; make it exist first, then perfect it later. - Make sure people can see your personality in your writing. - Donโ€™t use money as the only measure of success. If you do, youโ€™ll be stuck for a long time. Use other factors as well.
