Can you be vegan without eating soy?
I do get this question a lot, because soy is a great source of protein. It's actually cardioprotective, but there are some people that are allergic to soy. So what are your options? We've got quite a few. We have seitan. (Make it my way here: https://youtu.be/g8LgS8ZTZic) We have textured pea protein. We have brands like Meaty that use mushrooms. We have fava bean protein. You can use things like pea protein isolate, brown rice protein, pumpkin seed protein, hemp seed protein, and then of course all of the whole food options like nuts, seeds, lentils, beans, nutritional yeast. So could it be done? Could you become a vegan bodybuilder or just a really healthy fit vegan without soy? Of course you can. There's a ton of options out there.
