Hey everyone, Luca here. I'm new to the automation space and just jumped into Nate's Skool. Super excited to be here! I've just finished setting up my initial stack to start learning and building, and I wanted to run it by the community for some feedback. My goal was to get started with powerful tools while keeping costs at zero. Here's my current setup: - Automation Tool: n8n (self-hosted). I chose this to get a deep, hands-on understanding of how everything works under the hood. - Hosting: Running it on an AWS EC2 instance using their 6-month free tier. - AI Integration: Tapping into the Google AI Studio API, which is currently free to use. My main goal is to move past theory and start building practical automations. With that in mind, I have a couple of questions for the more experienced folks here: 1. Is this a solid stack for a beginner? Are there any major pitfalls or limitations I should be aware of with this specific free setup (especially with AWS and Google's API)? 2. What would you recommend as a "rite of passage" first project to build with these tools? I'm looking for something that's challenging but achievable. 3. Are there any other essential (and preferably free/low-cost) tools you think every automation beginner should have in their toolkit? Really appreciate any insights you can share. Fired up to get building!
