Should Clients Have Access to Their GHL Dashboard?
When offering services to clients (database reactivation, review campaigns, website, so on and so forth), when we set up their sub account in GHL, should that just be for us as the agency owner, or is it recommended to give the client access to their login as well? I can see pros and cons to both sides and wondering what people normally do or recommend.

Great question, as a digital solution, I usually recommend giving clients limited access to their GHL dashboard. This allows transparency and lets them see campaign progress and results, which builds trust. However, it’s best to restrict admin-level permissions to your agency to prevent accidental changes or disruptions. You can customize user roles in GHL to balance client visibility with control. If you want, I can help you set up these user roles and workflows to optimize client access while keeping your system secure

Quick Question,
Hi GHL Community, I'm trying to ensure my Sales/Admin users (who have 'Assigned Only' permissions for conversations) truly only see conversations relevant to their assigned opportunities. Scenario: - One contact has multiple opportunities (e.g., a Sales Opp assigned to "John," and a CS Opp assigned to "Jane"). - Both "John" and "Jane" have 'Assigned Only' conversation visibility in their User Role. Problem: - When "John" (Sales) logs in and goes to the Conversations tab, he's seeing all conversations for that contact (including the CS one), not just the ones related to his assigned Sales opportunity. How can I strictly separate conversation views in the Conversations tab so that users with 'Assigned Only' permissions only see what's related to their specific assigned opportunities, even if the contact has other opportunities assigned elsewhere? Any best practices or workarounds are appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, this is a common challenge since GoHighLevel ties conversations to contacts, not individual opportunities, so 'Assigned Only' users see all conversations linked to that contact. A practical workaround is to segment contacts by opportunity—creating separate contact records per opportunity or using tags/custom fields to filter conversations. Additionally, setting up custom views or automations that route messages based on opportunity assignment can help limit visibility. While full separation by opportunity isn’t built-in, these strategies can improve clarity. If you'd like, I can help design a tailored workflow to meet your needs.
