"Follow up until one of you dies"
I made a post asking how long I should continue to follow up with someone before just giving up. Giulio commented something like "keep calling until one of you dies". And it's still the best advice I've gotten in regards to sales! After TWO YEARS of reaching out to a contact regularly, and getting pushed off every time, I finally got the sale today!!! I had actually just spoke to my contact last week and he pushed me off again, but the next day he reached out and put me in touch with the owner. And he put in a good word for me to the owner, making my job of selling my services that much easier. Just wanted to share the importance of following up regularly (and for eternity lol) with contacts and standing out so when they do have a need, you're the first person they think to reach out to. If nothing else, this should give you hope when you call a contact for the 800th time and get turned down or pushed off for the 800th time-- it'll turn into something... eventually!

@Denis Arnautovic I always ask when it would make sense for me to reach back out. If they say 3 months I call back in 2 months, if they say 6 months I call back in 4 months
Sales lingo or acronyms for newbies
Hi everyone! What are some acronyms or lingo you've learned throughout your sales career that you didn't know beforehand? For reference, I lead a team of cold calling interns that have zero experience in sales, and I'd like to make a resource/cheat sheet to help them learn all the lingo. Any insight is helpful, thank you!!

Research Matters
I was struggling to book a meeting with this prospect and have been chasing him since December. Made so many calls and sent emails- sometimes he cancelled sometimes he didn’t reply. So I thought of personalizing it. I went to his instagram and took the script from one his witty videos and used that in my email and boom after a few hours booked a meeting with him. A tint of humour always helps as it builds a connection with other person. 😀 Researching your prospect is the key. Spend just 5 extra minutes researching your prospect- it’s a game changer.

How can i untap pains?
My biggest issue with calls is that people don't open up, i cant uncover pains and I cant generate interest, some advice?

Be genuinely curious about their company. They know you're a sales person so they won't come out and tell you exactly what their problems are. You have to ask other questions and wait for the pain to reveal itself naturally, then jump on it and share your solution. It also sounds like you could be coming off too salesy, and that's why people aren't opening up. Approach the interactions with pure curiosity and a willingness to help, and forget about trying to get the sale.
Apollo replacement ?
Another Apollo rant, I think it has gone completely off with its data (both email and phone). Does anyone know of any tool that performs better than Apollo in sequencing and data?

I use ZoomInfo but they've also had some issues with data accuracy lately.
