What’s your #1 author goal for 2026?
New year, fresh momentum. 🎉Let’s set the tone for 2026 together. What’s the one thing you want to accomplish in your author journey this year? It could be big or small: Finish your first draft, publish your book, start (or grow) your email list, get more reviews, sell more books, etc. Drop your goal in the comments — and if you know it, share your next step too (even if it’s a small one). Chances are, someone here has the same goal… and we can all help each other stay on track this year. 🤝📚

@Owen Bergman I would be honored to join you in a podcast. My non-fiction is about a very unique topic. I think a lot of people are doing more Joe Rogan style of video + audio podcasting. I vote that you GO FOR IT. I can help with SEO for your Youtube channel, if you'd like.

Pre-marketing underway, I ‘hope’ this will work: I have collected hundreds of names and their emails to start an email campaign before, during, and after book launch. I have 3,000 fb contacts to send the book link with a blurb to share the link and later ask for reviews. Another 500 school programs, and nation wide groups that are linked to my content. Also I will drop copies in outdoor book drops and local libraries. Then crash some book signings wherever I can. Crossing my fingers.

Hey @Rob Cole I have an educational layer in my book content so I scraped all the programs across the U S and copy/pasted the director and department heads names and emails into an Excel sheet. I also targeted the entire country’ s satellite sights for each state’s local chapter for working interpreters to get the link out to them, I have 188 fb groups of Deaf groups to ask them all to share this book as a tool to all the parents of Deaf children to help them understand more about the process the interpreters provide to highlight the sign language importance for life, liberty, and the pursuit of a great job. I also run two other fb groups in my town, totaling 10,000 members. I hv another 2,400 friends on my own fb page. I have looked up all social services is the US to email blast to explain how this book may draw more staff providers to heIp fill the severe lack of interpreters working today. I will also capture all the local business owners in my region to consider providing my book in a raffle or special gift to spotlight a customer. I am planning to drop off free copies in neighborhood take-a-book tree stumps locations and libraries. I will be requesting book signing at the three largest bookstores in my state, as well as bring a stack to any and all speaking engagements and promote the link on all my coming podcasts ( about two dozen in the next few months). Please comment if I missed anything. Thx ; )

I would love to be hired to discuss the depth of the moment of human connection, which is relatable, worldwide.

@Kevin Hall sounds like you are already living the dream. Writing for pleasure and creativity, not desperation. NICE
