@Koli Cutler a lot like yours but a little bit ahead of you. I am working on a memoir for my mom. This is by far the hardest book I have written. Sometimes it's a struggle to get it out. But I know writing it is great therapy. How much therapy can one person stand determines how much writing I get done. An outline helps and keeps me focused. My distraction comes from wanting to write children's books and the millions of ideas that flood me. My memoir is mostly for women. It's the kind of book that saves lives. I have save many so far but there are so many more who don't know me. So many more who will die not knowing what I know. And I owe that knowledge to my mother who suffered so I could learn.

@Sarah Bean exactly. And it doesn't necessarily make a book worthy to read. This is a sad tale, I recall someone, a teacher, who wrote a really great book. But the second book had no editing and was difficult to read. I never read another book written by that author again. Quality does count in all facitis of the book publishing process.

I also have another video on the math side of this ... I'll link to that in the comments. :)

I love the idea of reverse shoplifting. Is that a crime? How much trouble can you get into for doing it? I I'd consider this option.

@Julie Broad I googled the idea. It says worst case scenari, they would ask you to leave and not come back. I think if I was going to do it, I'd stick around to monitor it. And let people know it's online at amazon. Maybe use a author copy that says not resale. At least you don't have to worry about being arrested.
Indent
I have a question about indenting in a non fiction, technical style book. I have read indent everything, others to indent just the first paragraph, though I don't know what good that does. I have seen a lot of folks talk about this style of book does not have indents at all, and just justified aligned. From how it looks to me, I think no indents, but I am almost always wrong on this stuff, so I thought I could get some feedback here.

Indent the first line. If you put a space between paragraphs you do not need to indent. No space between paragraphs then yes indent.

@Kevin Hall i agree. My eyes are aging and I like more space and a little bigger font.
Book launch advice
This is a new world for me as it is for some of you. I am planning to launch my children's book in the middle of July. I have been working on social media and it is exhausting! Everyday gets better though. Do you have any advice of certain elements to have in a book launch?

Can I start pitching the book now?
My book releases on 9/9. Should I wait to start pitching it or would it be ok to start reaching out now? Any pros or cons? Thx for your contribution.

Yes. Do start talking about it. This gets people excited about your book. Make sure you are passing out links to your website so people can follow you and know when it is ready.
