Asking for help !! 🥹
My oldest son surprised me today and asked me to help him loose weight because he is tired of being fat. He weighs 250 lbs at 17 years old! I told him I would do my best to help him. But he has to really want it and work for it. We have to replace his habits with new ones. He will need to include movements in his day and change skipping meals and snacking late at night. He agreed. 👍 We will start right away. It will be an interesting time. I might have him join Skool so he can get all of your helpful advice and information.

Wishful thinking 🤔?
I’ve been doing things the way I thought I should and when that didn’t work I decided to do what someone else says to do. Someone that has the result that I never had. The result I’m at my lowest weight ever!! Feeling great !! Is it just me or do I have abs ?!?!

Asking for perspective
I have a bit of thoughts after my gym session this morning; a pair of men came, clearly friends. From their (loud) conversation I came to learn that they have not been working out for the past 1-2 weeks - cool, good on them for finally being able to come back - and they proceed to do their workout. My curiosity being; 1. If you can lift xx kg/lbs, surely you'd be able to put down the weights rather than just dropping them, right? Or the person is just lifting until no reserves left thus the release-and-drop? 2. Is it advisable to go straight into heavy (i.e. the usual max weight) after being a potato for a whole week or potentially longer? Or really it's just "as long as they don't hurt themselves, it's all good?

Def shouldn’t be throwing your weights down! I understand the weight being extremely heavy but even so, it’s usually just poor etiquette to throw the weights down. As for coming off a 1-2 week hiatus, reducing your working set by about 20-30% is okay, and you’ll likely be back to the same working weight within 1-2 weeks. Better to build back up than trying to jump back into the weight you left off at.
Never try, never know 😆
