🏋️ Fitness vs. Business: Why Is ONE So Much Easier?!
As a health coach, I often notice this odd irony: Business feels MUCH harder than fitness — to me. And yet, I’ve had so many successful business people tell me they feel the exact opposite! Here’s the thing: in the gym (and the kitchen), take the right actions consistently, and results are guaranteed. It’s predictable. Measurable. Momentum builds. However two things can get in your way — and they show up in business too: - You’re not 100% sure what the right actions are. - You get impatient, so you STOP:START or chase shiny quick-fix distractions. And that only slows things down. These are the 7 mindset + strategy shifts I coach my clients through in health — and remind myself of in business: ✅ 1. Focus on action-based goals. Yes, be clear on where you're headed — however measure success by what you DO, not just what you get. It makes progress visible and, every single day can be a win. ✅ 2. Track backwards, not just forwards. Zoom out. How far have you come? Often, what feels normal today would’ve been a huge win a year ago. If today wasn’t a win — what did you learn? ✅ 3. Seek empowering examples. Find someone with fewer advantages who’s still showing up. Not to compare or guilt-trip yourself — to get perspective and belief. ✅ 4. Study those ahead of you. What do they NEVER skip? What do they say NO to? What systems or rituals do they rely on? This is what I did early days in the gym and now I find it one of the most valuable parts of Skool. ✅ 5. Set the stage for success. Plan tomorrow today. Front-load your day with the task you most avoid. (Do the thing you’ll thank yourself for.) ✅ 6. Ask for help — early and often. Isolation slows everything down. You’re not meant to do it alone. My "to-work-on!" 😱 ✅ 7. Get accountability. Don’t rely on motivation to keep showing up. Create a reason to follow through — a coach, community, check-in, tracker or someone expecting you to do what you said you would. Accountability makes consistency easier. Whether it’s fitness or funnels, nutrition or newsletters — success is less about force, and more about clarity, consistency, and self-belief.

@Tony Iverson do you know I think the need for tracking in biz was something I missed early days as I never had to do it in fitness. I just took the actions and they worked. These days - like you by the sound - I'm tracking so much more...I guess I dragged my feet with that one!

@Pamela Igwe thank you, does one or the other happen to come much more easily for you?

👀 GIVE ME 3 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT YOUR LIFE…
…and I bet I can find something you could sell hiding in them. 😂💸 Seriously. Tell me: 1️⃣ Something you’ve been through 2️⃣ Something you’re REALLY good at 3️⃣ Something people always ask you for help with Because most people looking for an online business idea are searching everywhere except their own life. Meanwhile, the clues are already there. Your experience. Your skills. Your weird little obsessions. 😂 The thing you figured out the hard way. That’s exactly how I think when I help someone find their offer. So let’s play tonight. 👇 Drop your 3 random facts and I’ll tell you what I see. 👀💰

@Laurie Frenza thank you, I'm obsessed with what my community is about! 🥰 YES, skool is my only home for community. Though I have a 940+ ep podcast / website / journal (also called Plant Positive) that have all been around much longer than skool. And social media of course.

⚡ Weekend Energy Audit: What’s Draining You… and What’s Filling You Up?
I’ve spent YEARS getting better at managing my time and my mind. My energy, though? Still a work in progress. 😆 And lately I’ve realised that managing my energy can matter just as much as managing the hours in my day. So, in honour of the weekend, here are 5 things I’m a little obsessed with right now: 1️⃣ A weekly 24-hour-ish digital detox Mine is roughly 12/1pm Saturday → 8/9am Sunday. And by 24 hours, I mean… usually 20. 😂 - No socials. - No emails. - No random checking. And honestly? It's GLORIOUS. I ONLY recommend it if you want to come back to work fresh, focused and full of energy! 2️⃣ No scrolling in bed. EVER. - No social media. - No email. - No “I’ll just quickly check my clients on WhatsApp…” I’m also trying to eliminate those mindless little phone checks during the day — standing in line, waiting for something, filling 30 spare seconds. ⏰ I allow myself 10 minutes of timed scrolling and, surprisingly, it’s enough! Because even if you’re disciplined during work hours, those constant little check-ins can make you feel like you’re always ON. 3️⃣ Being MUCH more protective of where my energy goes Especially when something annoys me. 😅 You know those tiny things that really shouldn't bother you THAT much… and yet somehow they DO? My current three-question circuit breaker: 👉 How’s getting annoyed working for you? Spoiler: NOT WELL. 😂 👉 What’s actually within your control? My response. ONLY my response. 👉 What would it take to stop giving this so much energy? This one has been huge for me. I decided once that I do not want to be at the mercy of other people’s actions. I want to be calm and clear. 💚 I want my energy going towards the people, animals, work and things I care deeply about. So every time I respond differently, I'm collecting evidence for a new belief: “I’m a person who doesn’t give silly things my precious energy.” Still practising. Definitely improving. 4️⃣ Knowing the ONE thing that makes today a win Yes, I plan my days carefully.

@Heather Boers I completely agree! It's a rollercoaster emotionally too.
Turns Out Some Of You Have Been Hiding Something From Us 👀
...and celebrations are in order. Fair warning: there's a plot twist near the bottom, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦. 😉 One of our members, @Vinayak Ramesh, just launched a podcast — 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲. Went digging through the guest list to see who's on it so far, and turns out four of our own are already in there: Jill Hart, Krista Brea, Janay Trevillion, and Alli Gatlin. Podcast-famous and didn't say a word. 😏 (Still working through the rest of the episodes — if you're in there too, I'm coming for you next.) 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁: Vinayak's trying to climb the Apple Podcasts charts in his very first week, which is a genuinely hard thing to pull off. Here's how you can actually help (takes 2 minutes): 1️⃣ Follow the show 2️⃣ Download + listen to an episode — start with his, then go check out Jill's, Krista's, Janay's, or Alli's episodes too 3️⃣ On iPhone? A quick rating/review is what really moves the needle on ranking Every follow and download counts toward where he lands, no matter what device you're on. Once you've given him a boost... drop your own podcast link below. You helped him get eyes on his show, now let's get some eyes on yours 😁
