Update to My FB suspension - I am Back Baby!
Well, well, well...after 6 days for what they say should be a one day review, my FB suspension has been lifted. Here is what they said: Hi Kevin, Thank you for taking the time to request a review. We reviewed your account, and saw that activity on it does follow our Community Standards, so you can use Facebook again. We're sorry that you weren't able to use Facebook for a while. Sometimes we need to take action to help keep everyone on Facebook safe. You can learn more about why we disable accounts by visiting our Community Standards. The more interesting part is that no matter how many times I click on their link for community standards - it just spins and spins and has not opened after 10 minutes of spinning. Additionally I find it kind of ironic that it spins and spins and their link starts with: transparency.meta.com/policy... Some transparency when you can't get to the website! I also like their comment about - Sometimes we need to take action to keep everyone on Facebook safe...you mean you do not do that all the time- only sometimes??? Well good news is I had a 6 day break, and now I have many notifications to go through! A brief poem to commemorate this auspicious occasion: Six days adrift on a digital sea, No message in bottle explaining to me. No compass, no chart, no hint of a crime Just “Wait here,” they said for an undefined time. Then this morning a note, both simple and terse: “You’re fine now,” they said - no better, no worse. So back I return - no wiser within, Just happy to be able to log back in again! I wish you all the best.

Market Research
As you might have noticed, I'm really getting my butt in gear for Expert Excellence Engine launch this FALL. I'm looking for 4-5 nonfiction authors in my network willing to jump on a 15-minute call with me so I can ask you a few questions? (no sales, market research only). Drop "I'm IN" in the comments and I'll reach out directly! Thank you in advance for your willingness to help me get my messaging more dialed in.

Hate social media? This video is ... FOR YOU :)
Happy Friday friends ... I hear this so often I made a video to address it: "I just need to grow my social media and the book sales will follow." I get it. It sounds logical. But I want to push back on that because I think it's sending a lot of great authors down a very slow, very frustrating road. I was listening to Don't Write THAT Book with Mike Michalowicz recently, and his co-host asked him how he managed to sell thousands of copies at launch. His answer? 18 years of networking. Not a viral TikTok. Not a perfectly optimized Instagram grid. Eighteen years of showing up, building relationships, and earning trust. That is the part few authors who have big launches say out loud. There is no strategy that works instantly. But social media is genuinely one of the slower ones, especially if you're starting from scratch. You're competing with full-time creators, AI-generated content, and algorithms that don't care about your goals. That doesn't mean skip it. There's real value in social media — I use it myself and I believe in it as part of a bigger picture. But it's an amplifier, not a foundation. And if it's your entire plan, you're essentially outsourcing your book's future to an algorithm. I made a video breaking all of this down, including the numbers behind where book revenue is actually growing right now. Dropping it here because I think it'll reframe some things for you.

@Suzanne Beaver I shared a method on a recent YouTube live with @Sarah Bean which may help with the organizing of your ideas and getting them out into the world in a simple way! If you have tech/mechanics questions, I'm here!
What’s a mistake you see people make all the time in your area of expertise?
This is probably one of the reasons why you wrote your book in the first place, but try and think of a mistake people typically make. (bonus if you can name a few!) Side note - this is an excellent thing to think of when creating social media content!
