My HYROX buddy couldn’t make it today, so guess who I got paired with? Coach T. 😳😂 No pressure or anything… just me thinking, “Welp. I guess we’re WORKING working today.” 😆 And yep… we HUSTLED. Today’s workout was AMRAP — 10 minutes per station, so the goal was to get through as many rounds/reps as possible while keeping a pace we could actually sustain. Basically: move with purpose, don’t gas yourself out too early, and when your brain starts telling you to stop… keep going anyway. 😅 One thing that made me really happy today was hearing Coach Emma point out our progress. She noticed that our wall balls are getting better — we’re squatting lower and getting more consistent with our form AND she said our sled pulls have improved compared to a few weeks ago. YASSSSSSS! 🙌 Sometimes when you’re in the middle of training every week, you don’t realize how much you’ve improved because you’re so focused on what you still need to work on. So hearing that from a coach was such a great reminder that the work is WORKING. 💪 And yes… I’m still out here making friends with those wall balls one squat at a time. 😂 By the time we got to the later rounds, the fatigue was REAL. During my last run, I noticed another member slow down and start walking. You could tell she was DONE. Like mentally, physically, spiritually… DONE. 😂 As soon as I passed her, I tapped her arm and said, “Let’s go! You got this!” She picked it back up, and we jogged together until we finished the run. After class she came over, thanked me, and told me she appreciated me pushing her. That right there made my whole workout. ❤️ She wasn’t my partner today, but honestly, during HYROX training everybody is your teammate. We’re all suffering together. 😂 We’re all trying to get stronger. We’re all going to have a moment when our brain says, “NOPE. I’m done.” Sometimes all you need is someone next to you saying: “Nahhhh… come on. We’re finishing this together.” 😎 That’s what I love about training with this group. We work hard, we laugh, we suffer a little 😂, and we support each other even when we’re not paired together.
