A Loss but the Big Winner
This weekend Ivy's team had no league game and so we had a friendly with a team from the next county over. Now this season the girls have had a great season and we don't want to take that away from them, but as it's gone on they have been challenged less and less and as we feared complacency has started to set in as they believe they can beat anyone without much effort. Well yesterday they got found out and to be fair a by the second half a few of the girls stepped it up and went for it like we know they can. One of those who stepped up was Ivy. After the shots started coming thick and fast and their striker was following up for a rebound she realised she needed to own her box again. It was the most vocal we have seen her. (Some who have seen past post will know it's something we have worked on). She was coming for the ball and distributing it as quickly and calmly as she could. In the end they lost 5-0 but it was a big lesson learned for the girls but without Ivy having arguably her best overall game it would have been double and more she came away with the player of the game again. As a team thought they all came off smiling and wanting to play them again because at the end of it all they love the challenge and for me that was the big win.

SUCCESS Sunday - What Was Your Win This Week?
Each week, I invite you to share your biggest win. This isn't about the scoreline, but rather what aspects of your goalkeeping you improved or what new product you got to enhance your game. Additionally, can you name three things you are grateful for? These don't have to be goalkeeper-related. The reason I do this is simple: everyone has tough weeks. Reflecting on and writing down your recent wins and what you're grateful for is a PROVEN way to realise that life is pretty great and you're a very lucky person. To get you started, here’s my win and what I'm thankful for this week: MY WIN: Getting over 7400 members and growing in this community, WHAT I AM GRATEFUL FOR: 1. Finally getting the free course live for you guys. 2. The amazing weather we have been having. 3. Adding another 9 goalkeepers to the J4K goalkeeper glove sponsorship program. Share your win below and what you’re grateful for. Let's keep INSPIRING each other - Comment below, whats your wins.👇👇👇 And Remember, you are ALOT better off than what you may think ❤️

This week Ivy's big win was after lots of technique training on kicking out of her hands and goal kicks she put them into practice in game. While they were not all perfect they were better than she has done before and a couple she nailed. Especially one where she cleared their last defender and our sticker picked it up and got the shot away (unfortunately straight at their keeper 😅) but ivy did her part 💪
Semi Final Day!
Ivy and her team are in the semi final of the cup this morning. Always a good game against their opponents but fingers crossed they get another win today! The only instructions we have given the girls is play your own game, give it your best and most if all have fun.

What a game. Our opposition never disappoint they really made it tough. Their GK was exceptional keeping them in the game. We started slow and when 1 down about 1/2 way through the first half. Nothing Ivy could do about it. Then she chipped in with a couple of great saves to keep it 1-0 at the break. Coming out we stepped it up a gear and was 2-1 ahead after 5 mins. They pulled one back with a wonder strike for outside the box. Then our winger took on 3 players and scored a lovely goal from a tight angle. We were constantly looking for a 4th but their keeper was always in the write place at the wright time. Some more good keeping from Ivy and the game finished 3-2 and we are off to the final in May!
