Sunny Saturday run
Great afternoon for a run. Anyone else have a run in the sun?

Six nice miles today. With the light wind on the way out nice and cool on the way back. Although middle of winter in Seattle, it could not have been a better day to run,
Walk Breaks
Hey Gang! The last four years or so, I've gotten in the habit of taking 90 second walk breaks every two to four miles of my runs. Is that something you all do as well?

Me too.
Training with weights and bands
Pulled some leg/buttocks muscle, gave up everything for 2 days, and back to running and weights. The weights and band stretches have markedly decreased my injury frequency and severity. My core exercises have really helped.

I find that weighted squats plus planks give me the most bang for the time and effort. What are other thoughts for most effective weight work?
Walking a lot
Still out here walking, anxiously waiting for my follow up appointment to be released to run. I’m putting in the miles. Hope you all enjoy your dayπŸ’ž

Good for you, keep it up. I did the same for 12 months, walking 3 miles a day and finally came back to regular running. Little by little. Keep it going, consistency will give you a good outcome.
Back On The Run
My Monday morning run around my town of Lomita Ca. It was sunny bright but rain coming soon. I’m focusing on getting back into running shape after 2 years of on and off runs. I’m looking for a productive new year

M 83 and still competing 5K to half M. Best 5K time 80+, 24:01. But have slowed significantly in the last three years, 5K now over 28:00.
