Let’s go team ❤️
Hey team! I will be tagging in a different member each day to share their thoughts. Please include: 1. What you would like to see incorporated into our group. 2. A brief introduction about yourself. 3. Your biggest goal for 2025. Your feedback and engagement are essential for our growth, so let’s work together to make this a great experience! Looking forward to hearing from you! Best regards, Lachy Sawtell

@Lachy Sawtell Hey Mate, thank you. I’m keen for any tips you can share. Currently between 2500 and 2800 cals per day (too much processed food though - working on that), 2-3L of water and usually working to $10k + steps. From the recent podcasts I understand I need to be getting closer to 3-4L of water and maybe 20k of steps per day. Is that right? Also happy to drop meals as required. I want to start meal prep again, so probably healthy meals / snacks that can be made in bulk and still reheat nicely/last would be ideal. Thanks again. Really enjoying hearing everyone else’s responses 😄

@Lachy Sawtell thanks for your time mate. I will give this all a try 😄
Mental health and physical health
Your mental well-being impacts your physical health more than you might think. Stress increases cortisol, which can hinder weight loss and muscle gain. Exercise boosts endorphins, helping reduce anxiety and depression. Practice mindfulness, meditation, and make time for self-care to enhance your fitness journey.

The last 12 months have been an absolute mess but over the last 4 months I have refocused and returned to putting all of the above into practice and it has done wonders to improve my mindset, body and mental health -they have bounced back 100%. Sometimes we take for granted how much these things help when part of the daily habit.

@Nerva Group I think two habits have been working hand in hand - getting my daily sleep back above 7hrs+ per night (I was averaging 4hrs for many years) and making exercise a “must” every day. Both are doing wonders for my mental clarity and vitality compared to where I was at.
Sleep and how to better optimise.
Make sure you focus on getting to bed earlier and make sure your quality is better through simple steps like: - No phone use in bed. - More reading before bed. - Journaling in general - Managing stress by talking with your partner/family more. Sleep is arguably one of the most important factors to better health and well being, make it a priority!

I need to get better at putting all this into practice. Small steps - Goal 🔥
Stretching is essential!
As we age, incorporating regular stretching into our routines becomes essential for maintaining flexibility, improving range of motion, and enhancing posture, all of which contribute to better joint health and reduced risk of injury. Stretching helps combat age-related stiffness, aids muscle recovery, and boosts circulation, promoting overall physical and mental well-being. By encouraging an active lifestyle, stretching not only facilitates everyday movements but also alleviates stress, making it a vital practice for maintaining quality of life and independence in older adults.

I’m back into daily stretching again recently after a bit of a break and my whole body feels so much better for it each day.
You’re here and attaining value as we spend the time 📚
The defining characteristic of expertise today is not just the depth of knowledge but the ability to synthesise information efficiently. In an era of abundant information, success hinges on understanding patterns rather than merely acquiring facts. At Nerva we study, study, study the facts before then comparing the facts and re-studying - You’re in the right place 🤓
