Question
What is the concept/sentiment/feeling called that is created when a song is played? I have seen things like Tone Painting, Word Painting, even an “Emotional Contagion” in a somewhat negative way. None of these work for me as they are dry or inaccurate. I am looking for an elegant word like: Anemoia - Nostalgia for a time that you have never lived. Some songs definitely create an emotion like Nostalgic Anemoia. I believe that Anemoia has roots in ancient Greece and was solidified by John Koenig. I plan to post this question in Mastering Intensive as well. I am looking for a general term. Thank you very much.

1. A song becomes unforgettable when collectively, at-least someone will remember it. 2. The most important part of a great vocal performance is weather or not you actually like it. 3. Music hits different when you are high, having sex or both. 4. A great song must have passion.
Lost world!
I'm sorry I haven't been very much interested in practicing this week on courses because I was robbed and they took a lot of my life and it's been very hard on my brain. They took everything from me and getting everything canceled and trying to get new cards and identity cards has been a nightmare! The banks and government stuff is the worst because they need me to identify myself when they stole all my identification. I am living a nightmare right now. Thanks for listening. I will return !

I have no words, but feel deeply and will pray for you and your recovery. I teach martial arts and have had to stand with others in their process to return to life. It's never easy. I can assure that you have friends in this community. Please hang in there!
Recording Grammy-winning vocals in a bedroom
Super excited to share something with you today that's a first of it's kind for Mastering.com We're hosting an exclusive 5-day Vocal Production workshop where you'll get to learn the A to Z of recording and mixing vocals from Adele's very own engineer. Introducing Austen Jux-Chandler. Austen won a Grammy for recording Adele on her album, 25. In the attached photos, can see him on stage (second from the left) accepting the Grammy with Adele. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Austen has also recorded Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, A$AP Rocky, SZA, Mark Ronson, and John Legend. He has earned a reputation as one of the top vocal producers in the world. We recently hung out with Austen at Lion Share Studios in LA, where he told us that he prefers to record at his artist's homes, rather than multi-million dollar studios. It helps create a more comfortable environment that improves the performance, he said. That's when I knew we had to do something with Austen, so he could show you step-by-step how he's able to record Grammy-winning vocals in a bedroom. So, starting March 2nd, Austen is going to spend 5-days with students live on Zoom, teaching his entire methodology from session prep to recording, editing, comping, mixing, creative effects, and more. Austen has never opened up his process like this before, so don't miss this chance to learn from one of the best in the industry. All the info is here: https://courses.mastering.com/product/1769595511504x935745290124299100?utm_source=Skool Hope to see lots of you there! Rob

GenAI in Music
Generative AI, not to be confused with Assistive AI. (I could not find the original posted question by Rob or Caleb) Zeitgeist (Now), “GenAI creates a product by harvesting and plagiarizing all related data available. When It creates music, this will include all i.e. (ever created) songs and musical scores along with their artistic intent.” If ever my daughter catches me using GenAI search engines, she will say “Don’t feed the beast. Don’t help it, don’t lean on it, because these companies rely on you to perfect it, but they don’t care about You.” It’s not that tools are the problem, it’s what those who build the tools plan to use them for, and what it costs them to get where they are. - “In order for It to exist and to grow, GenAI steals from the Soul of humanity including You; All time, all space” (Terry John)
