Question
What is the concept/sentiment/feeling called that is created when a song is played?
I have seen things like Tone Painting, Word Painting, even an “Emotional Contagion” in a somewhat negative way.
None of these work for me as they are dry or inaccurate.
I am looking for an elegant word like: Anemoia - Nostalgia for a time that you have never lived.
Some songs definitely create an emotion like Nostalgic Anemoia.
I believe that Anemoia has roots in ancient Greece and was solidified by John Koenig.
I plan to post this question in Mastering Intensive as well.
I am looking for a general term.
