Strengthen your spirit and improve your health
I want to ask you something that goes a little deeper today. Where is your flesh winning right now? Is it the late night snacking? The workouts you keep skipping? The extra wine at night before bed? The meals you keep saying you'll make but don't? I'm not asking to make you feel bad. I'm asking because awareness is where the work actually begins. When we can honestly look at where we are giving into our flesh over our spirit we can finally start to address the real root of what's keeping us stuck. This week I want you to try something. Before you reach for the thing you know isn't serving you, pause, take a breath, and ask God for the strength to make a different choice. Then come back here and tell me what happened.

This matters more than you think
I want to address timing for a second because this is one of the an overlooked pieces of the strategy of body re-composition and getting fit. What you eat before a workout and what you eat after are two completely different conversations with your body. Before your workout your body wants simple carbs, a banana, a rice cake, something it can convert to energy fast so you can perform with energy. After your workout your body wants protein to rebuild and recover. Many people are doing this backwards or not thinking about it at all and then wondering why they are tired on their workouts, can't perform, or not getting the results they want. Try adjusting your timing this week and then come back and tell me if you feel a difference. Your body will respond faster than you think.
I Challenge You This Week....
This week I want to challenge you to cook as many of your meals at home as you possibly can. And before you tell me you don't have time, I want you to hear me out because this does not have to be complicated. At all. We are not talking about elaborate recipes or spending hours in the kitchen. We are talking about real whole food, simply prepared. A potato chopped up and thrown in the air fryer. A steak cooked in a pan. A piece of fish or a steak that takes less than 10 minutes start to finish. Ground beef and rice or sweet potatoes. Single ingredient meals that your body knows exactly what to do with. If you don't have an air fryer I highly recommend getting one. It is one of the best tools you can have in your kitchen for making real food fast. No fuss, no mess, and the results are actually delicious. Here is why this challenge matters. When you cook your own food you know exactly what is going in your body. No hidden oils, no mystery ingredients, no extra fat or sugar you didn't ask for. You are in complete control and that control is where your results live. This week I want you to commit to as many home cooked meals as you can manage. Start simple. Stay consistent. And if you need ideas on exactly what to eat and how to put it together, go check out Eat This to Lose Weight right here in the group. Everything you need is already there waiting for you. Drop a comment below and tell me you are in. And at the end of the week come back and tell me how it went. I will be right here cheering you on every single day. Let's go!
Can I Still Eat This?
That is the first question I get from almost every client. Pizza. Fruit. Cheese. You name it. And the answer is always yes. Here is the real truth though: we are not confused about food. We are confused about how to put food together. That is why so many people feel stuck. You can absolutely eat the foods you love. But if you are just throwing things together without a strategy, your body is not going to respond the way you want. That is exactly where the Puzzle Method comes in. Instead of cutting everything out, you learn how to build meals that actually support your goals. Think of it this way: when you go out and have something indulgent, that is a party for your mouth. But you do not party every single day. Maybe once a week. Eating works the same way. You can enjoy everything, it just has to be put together in a way that works for your body. No single food will ruin your progress. No single meal will make or break you. It is what you do consistently that matters. Here is a personal example: I know my body does not do well with too much fat. That does not mean I never eat fat. It means I structure my meals in a way that works for me. That is the shift. Not restriction. Strategy. If you are ready to stop guessing and finally understand how to put your food together for fat loss, head to the classroom and grab my guide Eat This to Lose Weight. It walks you step by step through exactly how to build your meals, and it is available for a small investment. You deserve to feel confident at every meal. Let's get you there.

Why “Healthy Eating” Still Doesn’t Work for Some People
One of the things that helps people improve their metabolic health the fastest is simply becoming more aware of what they’re actually eating. Tracking your food for a few weeks can be incredibly helpful. Not forever, but long enough to gather real information. When you track for a short period of time, you start to see patterns: • how much protein you’re eating • how much fat you’re eating • how many carbohydrates you’re eating • how your energy and hunger respond Fat in particular can be tricky because it’s very calorie-dense and it adds up quickly, even in healthy foods. Tracking helps you see whether your body is responding well to the balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat you’re eating. It also helps you identify when something isn’t working. If you’ve been tracking for a few weeks and: • your weight isn’t changing • your energy isn’t improving • your hunger feels the same then that usually means the ratio of what you’re eating needs to change. Sometimes it’s increasing protein. Sometimes it’s adjusting fats. Sometimes it’s rebalancing carbohydrates. This is where metabolic health really becomes a skill. You start learning how your body responds and how to adjust. Curious to hear from you: Have you ever tracked your food before? What did you notice when you did?

@Jamie Lawson I am so sorry to hear about your house, that sounds very stressfu!l But yes the tracking will make things more clear for you. Weight loss is a skill that once we figure out what we need we can just repeat it over and over again and it works really well. We all have unique makeup so sometimes it takes a little bit of time while tracking to figure out what we need. There is a ton of information on tracking in the Food Freedom Formula area of the classroom section. Please post your questions in the group.
