🌿 Afternoon Jungle Thought
One of my favorite things about one-on-one time with my kids is how it lets them see me in a different light. Not just “mom with a to-do list,” but a person they can laugh with, hang out with, and one day—be friends with. I think of it like a cord we’re weaving across the years. Every coffee date, errand run, or quiet walk together adds another strand. And when they leave home, that cord is strong enough to hold us close. What about you? 🌱 Do you remember the first time your kids saw you outside the Mom Role? Were they startled, surprised, or maybe even laughed at the idea of you just being… you? Drop your story below—I want to hear it. 💬✨

I’ve never felt super connected to my oldest (17), but today before he hung up after I said “I love you,” he actually said, “I love you too”! Super big win in my book.

Emily mentioned she calls today Water Wednesday 💧 — a reminder to stay hydrated. I use Wednesdays as my outing day — errands, groceries, co-op, all bundled together so it doesn’t hang over my head the rest of the week. It got me thinking… do you give your days “jobs” too? 👉 Meal prep Mondays? 👉 Laundry Fridays? 👉 Self-care Sundays? Assigning tasks to certain days can keep the mental load lighter and free up space for the things that matter most. ✨ What day in your week already has a “theme,” or what day would you like to give one?

I’ve assigned specific chores to days of the week for my kids (M-bathrooms, T-dusting,etc), but I don’t really have days. I am NOT a routine kind of gal. I like to fly by the seat of my pants and do whatever I think should get done. It’s a really bad system.

@Jenn Locklear They get it done. They like that it is a known thing each day. Of course they’d rather just sit in front of a screen! I should be better at checking their work and showing them how to do it correctly, but at least it’s getting done.
🌙 Friday Evening Jungle Poll 🌙
Mamas, curiosity time. 👀 We all juggle — laundry piles, kids’ questions, dinner that somehow still needs to happen — and sometimes we call in reinforcements. Do you use AI-assisted problem solving for any of these? (Pick all that fit your life!) 🏡 Daily tasks (organizing, reminders, to-dos, etc.) 🌱 Life decisions (budgeting, planning, personal problem-solving) 💬 Drop a comment too — what’s been the most surprising or helpful way AI has saved your sanity lately?

I used it to help me with preparing to teach school the other day. I don’t remember it’s a tool in my toolbox most of the time.
🌿 Transparency Takes Courage 🌿
This morning’s Coffee Break brought up something powerful:👉 We can’t change what we’re not willing to be honest about. In the Jungle, we’re building a culture where: - Transparency is safe. - Kind correction is normal. - Real change is the goal—not fake perfection. 💬 Share with us:What’s one area of home or family life where you’d like to grow—but you know you need support or fresh ideas? (And remember—sharing isn’t weakness. It’s strength. That’s how we build sanity systems that last.) #MomJungle #Transparency #GrowthTogether

@Bridgette Devin I used to exercise regularly, but after child two or three it kind of fell off the to do list, but my hormones had gotten so out of whack, I had to do something. Metabolic renewal totally helped.

@Bridgette Devin I just jumped in and join the Facebook group and ask questions when needed. Now I mainly just do the workouts and try not to eat too many carbs.
🌙 Evening Jungle Check-In 🌙
Sometimes “late” doesn’t mean we don’t care. It means we still showed up—tired, messy, and maybe past the hour we hoped. Because caring isn’t about the clock. It’s about consistency. About saying, “This matters enough that I’ll do it even when I’m wiped.” 👉 What’s one thing you managed to do today late but still worth it? (Laundry? A quick hug? Dinner finally on the table?) Your small, tired wins are still wins. 💪 ✨ Affirmation: Showing up—at any hour—counts. #MomJungle #TheTacticalJuggle #Make It Stick epShowingUp
