@Alethea Patton wow how did he get a mane like that? Beautiful. Not normal for a donkey.

@Amy Rivera hi Amy, I tried to respond to you but it didn’t go through. Can I contact you regarding: Jager on FB or Messenger?
Donkey King S1:E8 Chrissy Finds Comfort
Several months ago, Rosalie and Chrissy, a mother/daughter donkey duo, were rescued by Megan, the lead farrier, and brought to Oscar’s Place. Rosalie’s health was poor then, and now it’s continued to deteriorate. Ron meets with Megan and the rest of the team about humanely euthanizing her. It’s a painful day for the entire team, especially Megan. Dr. Kerry comforts her as Rosalie takes her last breaths. After Rosalie is gone, the team’s focus shifts to Chrissy and making sure she’s eating and unstressed. Fortunately, it appears she’s making a friend with another donkey named Leo. Nearly two years after saying goodbye to Rosalie, Megan checks in on Chrissy, now adopted out to a forever home. Megan is thrilled to see Chrissy thriving with her new family.

HELP!
I just got a high heat watch predicted for next Wed and Thurs. One forecast said 106F but I think that’s at a lower elevation than me. My area is high elevation and predicted for high 90s like 98 on Friday. My donkeys still have their winter coat. For God sakes, it’s freaking March😱😱! Does anyone have any suggestions to keep them cool during those 3 days? So far we have occasionally hit the mid-80s. They have a run in shed and usually stay there when it’s hot. We will be gone on one of those days go figure probably will be 110F where we’re going.
HELP!

@Cindy Koempel My donkeys don't shed out until mid-July and I thought that was so crazy because horses start sheddding in May when I had them. Then they start putting on more hair right around August.

@Cindy Koempel Thank you, they are doing fine now. I didn't do anything different but they just took care of themselves, lol sunning in the morning and staying in the run in shed during the hottest part of the day and I have a 75 gallon water bin for them and they drink quite a bit of water. It got unseasonably hot but not as hot as in the summer so they were ok. George our Russian Blue cat stayed hidden on the concrete in the shed behind the hay all day. We had people installing new windows on our old house and when anyone comes around it's STRANGER DANGER GET AWAY!! haha

Love it, wish I had that much property to use but I’ll have to rethink this whole thing. I have a hilly piece of property but an environment septic on part of 4 acres which cannot be walked on by horses, etc.
