Donkey King S1:E10 Dog Days Of Summer
Ron and the team pick up their first documented aggressive donkey, Brody, who rears up at Kenneth as he attempts to coax him into the trailer. While he’s “98% sweet,” the team at Oscar’s Place must determine what is triggering his behavior. After a lengthy stay in quarantine, Brody is introduced to a new herd, where he fits in seamlessly. He has also been the perfect gentleman with the staff at Oscar’s Place. Since other donkeys and people don’t appear to be triggering him, Ron sets up a dog test with Dr. Kerry. She brings Robbie, her border collie, to see whether dogs may be the trigger—the previous owner did have several dogs, which may have caused the behavioral outbursts. While Brody shows definite interest in Robbie, he isn’t overly aggressive and doesn’t try to harm him in any way. Based on everything they’re seeing, Dr. Kerry believes it’s safe to find Brody a loving forever home.
#9 Donkey King: "Braywatch"
Stephen and Douglas are two adopters who have already committed to adopting CoCo and Uhtred, but they are now back at Oscar’s Place looking to add two more to their family. Ron takes them on an adoption tour, fully aware that he’ll likely have to say goodbye to two more donkeys he loves. Stephen and Douglas take a liking to Malcolm and Stella, who just so happen to be friends with CoCo and Uhtred. Saying goodbye to this group of donkeys is going to be especially difficult for Liz, one of the Oscar’s Place volunteers, who is particularly close with Uhtred, having been with him since he was five hours old. After checking in on the progress of fencing at Stephen and Douglas’s property, adoption day finally arrives. Ron decides to break protocol and bring Liz along, given her close ties to Uhtred. The four donkeys get comfortable very quickly in their massive new pasture. With a beautiful shelter and waterfront property, these donkeys have it made! After saying goodbye to these beloved donkeys, Ron takes Hugo, Kenneth, Gabe, and Josh to visit two other beloved donkeys who were adopted out—Shaggy and Dragon. Josh still hasn’t gotten over saying goodbye to Dragon. The team from Oscar’s Place has a great reunion with their former donkeys and their new owner, Karen. For Josh, he finds closure seeing these beloved donkeys thriving, and for Ron and the rest of the team. This is further affirmation that their adoption program works.

Episode 7 - Donkey King - Toe-tal Transformation
After spotting a social media post, Ron buys two donkeys online — with a credit card. One arrives with the worst hooves Ron and Megan, the lead farrier, have ever seen. Juniper’s feet are so deformed that even X-rays are a challenge. When images finally come through, Dr. Cronin confirms the condition is likely painful, although there’s no arthritis. Megan trims down some of the hooves, and soon after, Dr. Kerry delivers bloodwork results: unfortunately, Juniper has Cushing’s Disease. The silver lining is that it is treatable. After an exhausting week caring for Juniper and Willie Dallas, Ron and Megan visit Snow White, one of their most beloved donkeys they ever adopted out. Snow White brays and walks straight up to Megan and Ron. Seeing her thrive with her new family, helps give the team exactly the boost they needed.
Donkey King S1:E8 Chrissy Finds Comfort
Several months ago, Rosalie and Chrissy, a mother/daughter donkey duo, were rescued by Megan, the lead farrier, and brought to Oscar’s Place. Rosalie’s health was poor then, and now it’s continued to deteriorate. Ron meets with Megan and the rest of the team about humanely euthanizing her. It’s a painful day for the entire team, especially Megan. Dr. Kerry comforts her as Rosalie takes her last breaths. After Rosalie is gone, the team’s focus shifts to Chrissy and making sure she’s eating and unstressed. Fortunately, it appears she’s making a friend with another donkey named Leo. Nearly two years after saying goodbye to Rosalie, Megan checks in on Chrissy, now adopted out to a forever home. Megan is thrilled to see Chrissy thriving with her new family.
