What is your preference? Leather or Rubber soles?
I love hearing clients or patrons talk down a leather sole deeming it uncomfortable before stepping into a pair. Just the blanket statement that "hard soles" are uncomfortable. It is just like when Antonio has spoken about how those who may not be accustomed to wearing a suit/sportcoat may think it is automatically uncomfortable from the get-go. I have always been a leather sole man because of the added value of resoling a pair of shoes and lengthening the lifespan of a potential favorite pair.

@Joe MacAfee Thursdays does make that all weather rubber sole! Most people aren't versed well enough about the best kinds of rubber outsoles that can be recrafted. One can do what they please with that original sole then! Keep your Thursdays in good shape!! They're great pieces. Even their dress shoes.

@Carl Ronny Birkeland Love to hear it, Carl!
What is your comfort level with style?
If you didn't grow up with a need to dress nice on a regular basis, I may feel awkward to put on a suit even for a special occasion. This was me until family recently. I own a business I worked by myself from home since My early college days and I'm not particularly social so there was no need to dress up. Staring law school forced me I to being social and compelled me to dress appropriately for the field. Despite getting well-fitted suits that I know look nice, I still feel a bit awkward especially in the trousers. The thin light material often feels "insufficient" (compared to the denim I normally wear) I can say I've gotten used to the feel, and despite a good fit, the material still feels somewhat alien. I suppose with enough exposure it will get more and more familiar. All that being said, the highest level of classy I would say is "comfortable" (in mind not physically) is nice jeans, dress shirts and sport jacket. What about you?

Thanks to mentors in my life my style changed for the better when I was younger. In college I took to dressing as best I thought. Sweaters, 1/4 Zips and button-down shirts, dark denim and chino pants. I wore a selection of boots and oil tanned leathers, or corduroy style shoes. My mentors had expensive taste and dressed well to match such taste. I would aim to do the best I could with whatever budget I may have had at the time. I didn't drive the nice Corvette everyday, like he, but my SUV was always clean and the chrome shiny. I worked aside him selling suits and men's clothing before leaving for a step up in quality men's clothing at the time. That next step helped my outfitting in more ways than one. I was able to dive into 100% wools, Pima & Egyptian Cottons, Silks, and Cashmere. My wardrobe grew and my desire to outfit myself even better grew simultaneously. I continue to find pure wardrobe pieces as I can. My goal is to add the best items I can respectively have and wear. Lately I have been fond of finding the best leathers in footwear I can. I have been striving to find vintage American made footwear that was the cream of the crop from past decades. I have done well to add to my collection and pair with the rest of my wardrobing thus far.

I have a Vein Mapping study for my right leg later today, so I have gone with a casual outfit as I will be laying in the MRI machine for 2 hours. I have given @Oscar de la Guardia’s over the shoulder neck tie a go to see if I can pull it off, looks ok, I just need to loose some of the inches from above my waist. Todays outfit consists of; M.J. Bale Linen/Wool (60/40) blend Newcombe Cable Cardigan in Stone M.J. Bale McQueen Chino in Tobacco MacPac Men’s Venture Merino Blend Pollo in Kelp Marle (50% Merino Wool, 50% TENCEL Loycell Fibre) Anson Leather Strap in Light Brown on a Traditional buckle in GUnmetal C-3PO Socks in Yellow Ecco City Tray slip-on in Cognac RayBan RX7222M reading glasses in Transparent Dark Tortoise SOTD - Versace Eros PArfum WOTD - Citizen AW5000-24E

Eh! I think that it doesn't do the job complementing to Cords. Those textures clash. The tones of the outfit and the style of pants work with warmer pallets and other fall textures for proper outfit harmonies.
HELP?!?! Suit and sneakers
Lately, I’ve noticed more people pairing sneakers with a well-tailored suit. In many cases, it looks stylish and modern—but it’s made me wonder about the appropriateness of the look. Is it a break from traditional elegance, or can it be a tasteful update to classic style? Should this combination be reserved for more casual or playful settings, or is it becoming acceptable in more formal environments? I’m genuinely curious and open to perspectives, especially since I do find the look appealing at times. I’d really appreciate any feedback or thoughts on this.

Can’t say I would ever compliment and individual on the pairing. I suggest against it when I have that question brought up in the shoe world. All about taste and building up an outfit. I personally believe all sneakers can do is take your outfit down notches in style and formality. Throw a sport coat on with jeans and sneakers if you want casual tastes. That’s just my opinion haha
