Two Quotes, Two Answers? Here’s Why.
If two companies gave you two totally different answers… you’re not crazy. A lot of home issues (comfort problems, leaks, tripped outlets) can have multiple causes — and not everyone verifies the same way. I started Learning Trades The Hard Way (free Skool) to help homeowners learn the basics of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical so you can: - ask better questions - spot red flags - understand what you’re paying for Quick question to ask any contractor: “What test confirmed that diagnosis?” If you want in: https://www.skool.com/learning-trades-the-hard-way-6499/about?ref=f5221ef733e34ac4a9b4cd2d57d0fd33

@Faith Adebayo Love that mindset — every one of those headaches becomes a lesson you don’t pay for twice. 😄 And a tiny house / skoolie (or a whole tiny house village 👀) is exactly the kind of project where knowing the basics of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical saves you a ton of money and stress. I’m 100% in either way — when you’re ready, post what you’re planning and we’ll help you think through layouts, power needs, water/drainage, and heating/cooling options step-by-step. You’ve got this — and I’ve got you. 🙌

@Shannon Boyer Shannon, you nailed it — and I’m glad you said something. 😅 I built the group first, then the final direction came into focus after, and I missed updating the About page. I just fixed it so it matches the community’s real purpose and who it’s for. Thanks for joining, and thanks for making the group better already. 🙌
Quotes All Over The Place
Ever get two different opinions and two wildly different prices for the same problem? That’s usually not because someone’s lying — it’s because people troubleshoot differently. Learning Trades The Hard Way is a free Skool community where I teach a more consistent approach to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical — for techs, apprentices, and homeowners who want to understand what they’re paying for. Quick rule to protect your wallet: Before you approve a repair, ask: 1. “What test confirmed the diagnosis?” 2. “What else could cause the same symptom?” 3. “If we fix this and it’s not it, what’s next?” If you want to learn the process (and ask questions), here’s the invite: https://www.skool.com/learning-trades-the-hard-way-6499/about?ref=f5221ef733e34ac4a9b4cd2d57d0fd33

Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! 😉 After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ⬇️

@Heather Wilson Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration is what HVAC/R actually stands for. And you are welcome. Happy to explain anything, anytime:)
Your Wallet Isn’t a Science Experiment (HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical)
If you own a home (or work on them), you’ve probably seen this: Your heat/AC, plumbing, or electrical starts acting up — and suddenly everyone’s guessing… and your wallet becomes the science experiment. Learning Trades The Hard Way is my free Skool community built to replace guessing with understanding across the stuff that actually breaks in real life: HVAC (furnace/AC/heat pumps), plumbing, and electrical. Quick tip that saves time (techs + homeowners): Before you chase the “weird” symptom, check the basics first: - HVAC: airflow (filter, returns/supplies, blower, coil) - Plumbing: shutoffs + simple obstructions (trap/aerator) before assuming “bad pipe” - Electrical: verify power at the source (breaker/GFCI) before blaming the device Made for: - Techs & apprentices who want real-world troubleshooting - Solo contractors trying to cut callbacks - Homeowners who want to learn their house and ask better questions If that sounds like your lane, come on in: https://www.skool.com/learning-trades-the-hard-way-6499/about?ref=f5221ef733e34ac4a9b4cd2d57d0fd33
