Building your authentic comms skills?
I have spent over 20 years in marketing communications. I’m excited to help rising leaders and founders with mastering their communication skills. Where do you need practice? Charisma, public speaking, persuasive writing, presentation skills, and connecting with audiences are all skills you can learn. Authentic intelligence in these areas are going to be even more relevant as more people use AI and lose their edge. While providing a Skool space to connect with other founders and rising leaders, I’m preparing to mentor a small case study group in the new year. Founding members will get a special opportunity, and so if that sounds like part of your 2026, check out The Prosper Boardroom. See you inside! https://www.skool.com/theprosperboardroom/about?ref=25ca6a1d7a20401eb08b8b265e56b988

How to get great results from your posts in this community!
I asked Chatty G to analyze the posts in this group that have the highest engagement (excluding admin posts) and make recommendations about how people could create better posts. This is what it said: I’ve been spending some time looking at the posts here to figure out why some take off while others barely get seen — and the patterns are pretty clear. If you want your promo post to actually get attention (and not just disappear into the feed), here’s what I’ve noticed consistently works: šŸ’” 1. Lead with something people care about — not just the name of your offer. Instead of starting with ā€œJoin my groupā€ or ā€œHere’s my course,ā€ open with a question, a challenge, or a common pain point your audience has. The best-performing posts usually make the reader think ā€œOh, that’s me.ā€ šŸŽÆ 2. Keep the focus tight. Posts that promote one clear thing — a free resource, a single workshop, a focused offer — get far more engagement than those that list everything you do. If you have multiple things to share, make separate posts over time. šŸ“ˆ 3. Show the benefit, not just the feature. Telling people ā€œI run a membershipā€ is less compelling than ā€œI help coaches sign their first 5 clients.ā€ Always connect what you’re offering to the result it creates. šŸ¤ 4. Make it feel like an invitation, not a sales pitch. The posts with the most traction don’t pressure anyone. They share something valuable and then say, ā€œIf this sounds helpful, here’s where to go.ā€ A soft invitation builds more trust here than a hard sell. ✨ 5. Demonstrate your value inside the post itself. A short insight, quick tip, or example of your expertise within the post does more to build credibility than any list of credentials. It gives people a reason to believe you before they ever click. None of this requires being pushy or salesy — it’s just about making sure your message is framed in a way that resonates. The more valuable and relevant we make our posts, the more this space will work for all of us. What do you think? Have you noticed the same or different patterns?

@Mona Weathers šŸ˜† And I mean, Chatty G never stops coming up with more work to do for your benefit... I definitely tap out, mic drop, and ghost after I get the draft to go edit. āœŒļø
šŸ“ˆ How to grow your Community using the Classifieds
I'm talking about my experience with this community and how it helped me go from 10 members to almost 50, with most of them coming from here. 1. Ask for feedback. At first I was just figuring out what I was trying to do, and my first posts were all about asking people for feedback. It turns out my message was far from being clear and I was really bad at selling what I did. After some honest and sometimes harsh feedbacks, I kept reinventing myself untill people finally understood what I was doing. If you can't explain what you do in one sentence, you need to improve your message. 2. Don't just post the same ad everyday. Be creative and test different things out. This place is perfect to test an idea you have, so give more than just a copy-paste of your about page. Talk a little bit about what you're doing, about the value you provide. Teach something. Make people intrigued. Write something that will make them interact with your post, like a question or a poll. Offer an opportunity so people feel like they have to join in order to take it. 3. Leave the CTA (Call To Action - requesting people to join your Community) at the end, not the title. Use the title to get people's attention, write a text that makes them want to keep reading and at the end make a CTA that will make them feel stupid for not joining your community. 4. Be consistent. People might need to see you more than once to be convinced. Post everyday, each time trying out something different, providing some valuable piece of content and a different perspective to the problem you're solving. Eventually people here will get familiar with you and they will want to join your community to get more of what you're posting. This is my community. I help people figure out the right tech tools for their businesses so they don't waste money on junk.

@Paulo Costa Appreciate you cheering us all on with some hot tips. šŸ˜Ž
Inviting you to the least BS boardroom around...
Ever wish you could improve your communication skills with real people without your IRL (in real life) peers watching you? That's what your Skool groups are for, right? Random internet strangers that become your internet friends, classmates, GIF exchangers, coaches, insomnia hangout friends, and maybe even meaningful mentors. I'm preparing a new case study group next month over at The Prosper Boardroom. We're going to make entrepreneurship less lonely while practicing your human-to-human skills. I'm building it currently so it's not perfect (yet!) AND that's the part where you will get MEGA VALUE. Help influence what entrepreneurs and rising leaders -- YOU -- learn about essential communications skills. Join as a founding member without opening your wallet... See you there

I just love Tolkien, too. There's so many GIFs to choose. 🤣

@Nick Nebelsky I built my education group out with a Tolkien-themed leaderboard, and have food in the boardroom at the moment. Would you rather be a blueberry or a Hobbit farmer?
Gratitude
I want to take a moment to acknowledge every single one of you who is here. I truly appreciate that you have taken a chance on this growing community. Every time you post, comment, or like, I appreciate it. Every time you show up to a live meet up and give of yourself authentically, it is a gift. The success of this community is all because you you. I'm very selective about who I let in. There are others who have grown faster, but I believe that the focus on quality people having quality interactions is what will make us all more successful in the long run. The way you show up every day to share your talents, skills, and expertise with the world and each other is what makes this a place where people want to be. I'm so excited for the future of this group and what is left to come. No matter where you are in the world or what you are doing today, I hope that you have a moment of rest, peace, and gratitude with those you love. See you tomorrow for the Free For All. It's going to be epic!!! Starts at midnight Central Standard Time.
