Sugar Signals Saturday: Diabetes
Sorry. Running behind today. Global Diabetes & Prediabetes Stats How many people have prediabetes? According to updated global analyses: - Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT) prevalence: 9.1% of adults globally. - Impaired Fasting Glucose (IFG) prevalence: 5.8% of adults globally. - These numbers are based on diagnostic criteria and represent adults aged 20–79. How many people have diabetes? - 589 million adults worldwide (ages 20–79) are living with diabetes in 2024. - That’s 1 in 9 adults globally. - Over 90% of cases are type 2 diabetes. - Projected to reach 853 million by 2050 — a 46% increase Undiagnosed diabetes - 252 million people worldwide have diabetes but don’t know it. - That’s over 4 in 10 adults with diabetes walking around undiagnosed Mortality & economic impact - 3.4 million deaths in 2024 were attributed to diabetes — one every 9 seconds. - Diabetes accounts for USD 1 trillion in global health expenditure annually DIABETES CAN BE REVERSED AND THERE ARE $1 TRILLION REASONS WHY THEY WON'T TELL YOU. I've met a lot of Skoolers here, so I made 10 archetypes. I'll give you one: The Midnight Poster Signature vibe: Posts at 1:47am and calls it ā€œpeak creativity.ā€ Glucose signal: Liver dumping glucose like a panicked intern who forgot the deadline. Catchphrase: ā€œI’m just built different.ā€ Reality: Yes. Built without a circadian rhythm. Why they join my community: You're fasting glucose is higher than their engagement rate. What these creator archetypes have to do with diabetes & prediabetes? Here’s the plot twist and a tease: All the hilarious creator archetypes: the Overcaffeinated Admin, the Midnight Poster, the Launch Zombie, aren’t just ā€œquirky creator behavior.ā€ They’re metabolic signals in disguise. Because diabetes and prediabetes don’t start with a diagnosis. They start with patterns: - Energy crashes - Brain fog - Mood swings - Cravings - Belly fat that won’t budge - Late‑night productivity spikes - Living on caffeine instead of fuel

and type 3 diabetes...aka dementia is on the rise!
šŸŽ‰ Posting Party Begins on Monday - Are You In???
It's been awhile since I hosted a posting prompt party, so I thought this would be a great time to get all our new members involved as well as stir up some of you that are maybe feeling a bit uninspired. Starting on Monday, I will post a prompt for you to respond to. The party will culminate with a live meet up of the PERSONALS on Friday! šŸŽ‰ Rules of Engagement: 1. Have fun with it and don't overthink it! 2. Be careful about WHERE to post. I will let you know if you should post in the comments or in a new thread. 3. For every post you make, leave at least 2 comments on other people's posts. 4. Try to make thoughtful comments and/or ask questions. This is a great opportunity to build relationships and get to know each other - a crucial skill in business. Gifs are fun, but are not considered a comment by themselves. šŸ˜‰ Are you up for it? Give me a sign in the comments below and then have a great weekend!

šŸ“£ Are You Affected by Dementia — Or Worried You Might Be?
Dementia is a growing reality for millions of families worldwide and closer to home than you might think. Globally, over 55 million people are living with dementia, and that number is rising rapidly as populations age. In the USA alone, around 8 Million people are living with dementia in 2025, the UK is close to hitting 1M and without intervention this could more than double in the coming decades. The numbers in Australia are around 450,000 and an estimated 1.7 million Australians are involved in caring for someone with dementia right now. Whether you are directly supporting someone living with dementia or are seeking community and practical guidance or are worried about family history or your own risk or You want brain health and prevention strategies …you’re not alone — and you don’t have to go it on your own. That's why I set up šŸ’› The Confident Dementia Carer which is a supportive online community where I share: • Practical care tips and lived-experience wisdom • Cognitive support and communication strategies • Brain health, prevention, and resilience resources • Emotional support from people who truly understand šŸ“Œ This is a safe, compassionate space — not just information, but connection. I’m Exploring a New Way to Support Serious Group Owners — I’d Love Your Thoughts
I’ve been thinking a lot about how to better support CLASSIFIEDS members who are actively growing their Skool groups and who want more than a place to post - specifically, more visibility, stronger relationships, and meaningful opportunities to collaborate. šŸ—ŗļø I’m exploring the idea of a small, curated cohort for group owners who are committed to helping each other grow in practical, generous ways. If you’ve been part of a mastermind before, this might look a little different from what you’re picturing, and that’s intentional. 🧭 Here’s the rough direction I’m considering: - A very small group (intentionally capped around 10-15) - Members who are actively growing paid or monetized groups - Monthly, facilitated sessions focused on: collaboration, cross-promotion, and reciprocal teaching/sharing - Opportunities for members to be featured or highlighted publicly through interviews or collaborations šŸ’µ This wouldn’t be a traditional coaching program or a hot-seat-heavy mastermind. The value would come from: - The people in the room - The relationships formed - And the collective momentum created through collaboration It also wouldn’t be for everyone, and that’s by design. The goal would be quality, alignment, and follow-through, not scale. šŸ’• I’d love your input on one thing (no pressure to answer everything although you can if you would like): - What part of this sounds most valuable to you? - What questions would you have if you were considering something like this? - If you’ve never joined a small cohort like this before, what would help you understand whether it’s a good fit? There’s nothing to ā€œopt intoā€ yet, I’m simply gathering perspective as I shape the idea. Thank you for being part of this community and for helping me build things that actually serve the people here. I'm really excited about this next chapter! šŸŽ‰

i'm very interested! I'm just starting my journey with a new group. I honestly don't have an answer to which part sounds appealing but I want to be in a room of people who get community growth...want to learn community growth and I love cross promotion and pollination!

@Shannon Boyer know what kind of of growth they want in their community (may not be sure how to get it), already getting results from members just not getting the follow through/sign up or $$, can add value to others in a collaboative way
