I'm trying to get the framework and instructions perfectly perfect. It'slike tiptoeing around and around and doing nothing. Preparing doing everything but actually not jumping - it's killing me... (d sky is falling)😂. Can I share a screenshot of my garage tinkering...
New Lesson in our new course: Build a CRM in Obsidian Claw
As always, this is the first of many lessons coming in our new course: Build a CRM in Obsidian-Claw Send email with OpenClaw P1 Most people try to automate email way too early. That’s backwards. What you actually need first is the scaffolding. In this lesson, I show you how I’m building email sending inside my Obsidian CRM with OpenClaw by starting small and being very explicit with the instructions. Instead of blasting generic automated emails, I’m linking: • the related person • the related conversation • the related send template Then OpenClaw uses that context to draft an email that actually fits the person. That’s the shift: from generic automation to context-aware communication This is still the early stage, but it’s the right stage. Get the structure right first. Then connect Gmail. Then scale. That’s how you build something useful instead of building a robotic spam cannon. If you’ve ever wanted your CRM to help you send smarter email, this lesson will show you how the pieces fit together. Available for Premium users and above: https://www.skool.com/obsidian-claw-3461/classroom/c9909aba PS: Don’t forget we have our weekly X Space tomorrow. I don’t have a Mac, and I don’t want to buy one because I make $18 an hour, so I need to find another option. Are there alternatives that would let me set up a similar system without using a Mac? Could you point me to some YouTube resources or training materials that explain your setup and how other people are using it? Also, is your configuration unique to you, or is it something others are using too? Finally, if I wanted to create a NotebookLM‑style workflow that integrates with AI tools and runs entirely online instead of relying on a Mac, how could I set that up?
Welcome! Introduce Yourself + Share What you are working on 👋
Let’s get to know each other. Drop a comment with: 1. Where you are based 🗺️ 2. Why you decided to start using AI 🤖 3. What you are working on with your AI 👨‍💼👩‍💼 Bonus: What Agent harness are you using? OpenClaw, Hermes, Claude, Something else? Can’t wait to meet everyone. 😊

Hey everyone, I’m Hector from Texas — a middle‑aged single guy stepping into my second act, guided by AI and a lot of curiosity. I’m here to connect, collaborate, and support this community in any way I can. I’ve got several projects in the works and I’m excited to learn, share, and grow together with you all. (By the way, I didn't say the word single at all") 😂
Why Obsidian and not something else?
A new member @Gabriel Wojciechowski just asked, "what about Top alternatives to Obsidian and Notion include Anytype (local-first, object-based), Logseq (outliner, privacy-focused), AppFlowy (open-source Notion clone), and Craft (native, design-focused). These options provide strong alternatives for privacy, speed, and knowledge management depending on whether you prefer local files or structured databases." and I decided I would answer it here. Notion and the others don't have a CLI. Also when you have too much infrastructure already in the other tool it costs a lot (in terms of tokens) for the AI to learn it. This is very common and why, experienced operators don't want to use MCPs. They are mostly a bloated mess. See this post on X and also this one. Maybe I need to do an Article on this? The whole industry is standardizing on Obsidian. Just search Obsidian and OpenClaw on X and you will learn exactly why.

What I'm finding is it's pretty much the same format for all of them. I create tons of custom Google Gemini Gems, and they boil down to three key components: instructions, memory, and tools/skills. Obsidian? Basically a supercharged Google Drive with killer organizational powers! 📝✨. 🤷

How many of you use X?
X is where a lot of technical people hang out and I hold a space there Wednesdays and Sundays. I am wondering how many of you actually use X. If you want to follow me there https://x.com/marnimelrose

I love Elon Musk—I'd vacation on the moon in a heartbeat. Most of the AI tools we're currently using align perfectly with my vision, so switching to anything else like x would waste time unless it offers clear, undeniable value. Obsidian is a great example: I hadn't considered it before, but it's now firmly in my toolkit, and you could say it's earned a spot in my recommendations.
