Water fast?!
Iโ€™m not recommending this for everyone but just reporting a way i bumped up the next grade bouldering today. I did a 3 day drinking only water (mixed with some salt) fast to help support my sister who was doing it for health reasons. Anyway hit the bouldering gym on the 3rd day and was absolutely crushing it. I lost 4kg in the process, saved some money on food and sent 4 routes i couldnโ€™t do before relatively easily. What a way to go up a grade๐Ÿคฃ

Congrats on the new grade. I'd caution on making this a regular practice to try and increase grades. Now that you've sent those climbs, you should see how they feel when your resting weight increases again. You might be surprised to find you can still do them!
What the hell? How do?
Roof pulls are always my weakness. There's no feet? Taller people reach out usable part of that side pull. Stronger people campus. I'm neither taller or stronger. My only thoughts were to maybe lock off next time, but every ounce of my being is required to keep the body tension that keeps my feet stuck in that wall. Anything for me?

I would suggest giving what @Mike Vert suggested a go, as that will make you a better climber in the long run. If that doesn't work, you could look to skip that section by jumping from the lower position. (Like in this photo)
Shoulder Dislocation Update
2 weeks since I dislocated my shoulder rock climbing. Here's a quick update. Gained a little bit of mobility, but still really restricted, and pain has reduced a fair bit. Have 2 new physio exercises along with my old ones. - Static resistance band holds for 20s (new) - Dowel stick abductions x 5 (new) - Unassisted arm rotations x many - Hanging arm pendulums x many Still got one more week in the sling but that's it for now! Video attached if you're interested, cheers. https://youtube.com/shorts/atxZH0VbujQ?feature=share

Maintaining Psych During Injuries
So I was climbing a 13a on the weekend and Bamm! My should popped out, I took a fall, and it popped back in. How do you maintain psych when injured? Hopefully after some rest, rehab and physio I can get back to my level of fitness. In the meantime, got any recommendations for staying fit?
