Economist Joseph Schumpeter understood this better than most. He argued that real progress doesn’t come from preserving the status quo — it comes from entrepreneurs willing to dismantle it. For the history of consumer products, we’ve been led to believe that premium products can only come for Europe. @Alejandro Ruelas has been exploring this space for his startup, and when I saw this I thought of him.
