Try to activate Realview...
Good Pacific Time morning, all. I have a graphics "card" question. My acer laptop only has Intel(R) UHD Graphics, is there a way to get SolidWorks to at least try to do Realview?

@David Roy great, I have a 4090 and SW is full of glitches if I keep advanced graphics on. So I decided to sacrifice a lot of visual features to be able to work. I think it's crazy in 2024 they can't find a way to make this software work well on any graphics card πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
Will it Grind?
Well, for sure I grinded the Intermediate section of the course! 😁 The final exercise is done, with some creative touch on the body, LOL!

I work for a Carbon Fiber Manufacturer and I am assisting in a project for an Automated Packaging Cell. We are using an outside company to help design it with our input. We use a vision system to look for defects in our bobbins and while in a meeting yesterday, one of their engineers asked what a specific defect was. We call it a dogbone defect where the center of the fiber being wound is tighter than the edges. We didn't have any pictures of actual product to show what we were talking about so I jumped into SolidWorks and was able to whip up a very simple model showing what we were talking about. I started with a two circles and was able to make an extruded core, and then using the line tool and the 3 point arc, I was able to draw one half of the defect and use the revolved boss to make a 3D model. I could not have done this before I started this course so I consider this a win in the fact that I was able to do it so quickly, even if it was simple.
